I have been thinking about CMN programs for the longest and it was not until today that I considered CMN vs WHNP vs dual. I applied to a CMN program and am awaiting their decision. I have also reviewed your videos and listened with great intent.
Have you disclosed the program you completed? If so, please reshare as I have done my research but am open to learning from someone who has already been there/done that?

Love it / I didn’t go into midwifery for the love of catching babies (although I do love it )
But I see myself caring for women more in an a outpatient setting . We will see

Catching babies is definitely a perk but I love that we can do so much more.
I can’t believe how fast time flew. The finish line is so close!! I’m so excited for you!

Congratulations on your journey! I went through a similar experience. I graduated Midwifery School in 2021, failed my board exam that year, was unable to work as a nurse due to the pandemic and i became I childbirth doula and herbalist for a year. I recently lost my dad this year and he wanted me to pass the exam more than anything! I am now studying again for my exam because i have found my passion again and i am determined to be a homebirth midwife. Your videos helped me so much when i was in nurse midwifery school. I am still watching them as i study to retake the certification exam. Thank you for sharing !!!

Congratulations for completing Midwifery school, it’s not for the faint of heart. I’m so happy to that you found you passion, please never give up. What study materials are you using if you do t mind me asking? The Kelsey book is gold standard….. if you know it front to back the test should be a little less stressful. Not saying it will be easy because we both know the truth… it’s a mean test! If I could help in anyway, please let me know 💕

I am happy to report that I passed my AMCB exam this August! Thank you so much for all of your support and your video they have been so helpful along my journey! I have just started my business Fair Midwifery and I am planning on providing holistic homebirths, women's care clinic, menopause care, fertility care, holistic care for women in all stages! @@focusedandfabulousrn8127

What is the difference between a midwife and a WHNP? I ask because I wanted to be a midwife, but didn't necessarily want the hours that come with it. I

A CNM and WHNP have the same autonomy, job description, and such BUT CNM are trained in well-women delivery. They have the scope of practice to deliver babies! This does not mean they have to deliver babies. CNM/WHNP can work in fertility, maternal/fetal med, OB/GYN clinics, public health, primary care clinics. Many opportunities!
