    hitachi wands are ment to be godly. a couple guys that paint miniatures from D&D/warhammer just hold the bottle on the top and turn it on. if it can make a girl squirt it should mix paints well LOL

    Also those bottles were huge I only use smaller bottles with agitators, I bathe cheaper nail polish one and it works great a year later . I recommend that plus get beads that won’t rust . Or a couple small garden stones and cook them to sanitise them before putting in your paints of course .

    You need to shake paint? Get a cheap Jigsaw off of Amazon, homedepot or wherever and shove an Irwin Microclamp into the chuck. $45 bucks or there abouts and now you can mix paint at 5000+ rpm.

  • @jiminboo
    @jiminboo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You're just moving the paint pigments around at the same time. Some of the reviews show inconsistent mixing... The most effective way to break up the pigments and solvents imo is to use one of those Tamiya paint stick tools.

    I could see this or something like it convenient for mixing bottles while your working , or like you mentioned put it on and walk away.
    I think it needs to be tied into a more stout base as a lot of energy seems to go into moving the whole stand. I wonder how well it would work for say a small batch of paint for a section, put in your thinner , and let it run. That is a bit tricky to nail it but math helps and would be a cool way to get that perfect shade without having to work with a lot of paint.

    I thought about the Robart Paint Shaker, but I eventually wound up going with a vortex paint mixer, specifically a Typhoon because of so many having used them in the past and liking them. Oh, and it actually mixes your paints, although I haven't tried on anything larger than two ounce bottles.

    My teacher of mr hobby paints taught me, you should NEVER mix thinner & paint & leaving them for months, the thinner will break the paint & degrade its result
    And maybe you should invest in tamiya paint stirrer, yes those thing looks expensive for what you got, but trust me, those sticks are easy to use because of its design, its not random thin alunium stick

    with shakers like these you might need a mixing bead; an agitator of some sort, say a Hematite bead or stainless ball bearings. Hope this helps!

    • @ZiGGi03
      @ZiGGi03 ปีที่แล้ว

      This helped me a lot I bought beads that don’t rust . Always use 2 beads as one isn’t enough it will take too long. So thanks 🙏 I bought the cheaper nail polish one and use a couple agitators it works perfectly. I’d highly recommend getting the cheaper one I’ve had one for a year now and still works great .

    Hello, where did you get the empty paint bottles for your paints ? thank you

    • @somechinesedude5466
      @somechinesedude5466 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cleaning empty paint bottle
      Buy empty paint bottle, mr hobby provide 15ml, 45ml & 75ml
      Some 3rd party brands that newtype stock up, thin plastic bottle with ball bearing in it
      1. Cleaning paint bottle is a chore, but you can buy similar paint & use the empty one as stirring cup, which overtime cleans it & you don't lose any paint leftovers
      2. Dedicated bottle is quite expensive, when you consider you can buy paint instead, but these are very easy to clean with your finger
      3. Those 3rd party bottle are good for large amount of work, they are impossible to clean, so use it on paints you will use regardless of what you work, like surfacer or gloss black, surfacer is mandatory if you recolor, gloss balck are mandatory for metallics
