So ... 1 - Don't square off against your opponent. This isn't a boxing prematch. You'll never see it coming. 2 - Don't let yourself get backed into a corner. There's always an opportunity to walk (run) away, until you're backed up - then you can't walk away, can't move, so you'll have to fight, and your opponent will have more freedom of movement. 3. Don't take somebody down to the ground if you don't know what to do when he's there. 4. Do not showboat - which means don't show off, basically. 5. Don't use the same technique over and over again.

You can step it back one more level. Never engage in street fights. Two legs to that: First leg is that a street fight is you voluntarily engaging in a consensual physical engagement. Why would you do that unless you are getting paid for it? And if you are getting paid for it you ain't getting paid enough. The second leg is that a street fight is you voluntarily engaging in a consensual physical engagement. Which at best the law calls an affray. At worst the law sees it as you committing murder. So not only do you not get paid but you can get your life ruined with being prosecuted and then get a long prison sentence on top. If you have messed up somehow and end up in a situation where you are going to have to defend your life it is not a fight. You should think like a mugger or a violent psychopath. Think like a predator or a hunter. Do the work, get what you need, and then get gone. There is no fight in that. It is you doing something horrible to the threat until they are no longer capable of being a threat. And then if the police get you it is you explaining what you saw and heard that explains why you had no other choice but to do what you did. It is you explaining the pre-attack indicators or rituals and how you recognised them as such. If it is not obvious from the above you need a much more developed set of plans for your safety than just avoiding doing the most stupid things in the physical encounters you were stupid enough to voluntarily engage in.
Another faux pau is to take your shirt off as a show that you're ready to fight. The first guy to get arrested when the cops show up is the guy with no shirt.
you don't walk backwards, but diagonally as much to the side of him, so you have more body weapons towards him. 2 feet 2 knees 2 legs 2 elbows and 2 fists... vs his side. And as an extra. you first only saw what was behind him and the left and right of you, now you have seen 1 /4 of the area what was behind you before. And /or. where you eventually can run off or where not to run to after neutralizing him. (more enemies)

As I commented on your Akidoflow web site, you never mention the key principle of akido is using your Ki force your center in every move you make... every block or punch every throw you do its not the strenth of your muscles, its the mass and inertia of your entire body that does the action... ALSO never ever punch someone in the mouth or face as you will break your hand!! A good neck or in extremis a throat strike with you forearm will take down the biggest attacker... but only if your life is in serious danger... if you kill someone you can go to prison even if you are the victim...
This is why I Train krav maga, proper stuff from an Israeli commando/ instructor. We drill for everything. Taught to run, if not then fight. I'm not gonna let it go this far. As soon as u invade my space, I'm ending it in seconds. Facts.🇬🇧 You shit that shit down. No fancy shit. Just control the head and then u control the body. Fight smart, end it fast. Ps boxers don't stand a chance against Muay Thai or k1. Leg kicks will stop a boxer dead. Kick the legs and the boxer will not be able to fight. Also facts. Great video for advice still.
