I've been interested in this topic since I read a book from the 1970s called "Life on Man" by Theodor Rosebury (a bacteriologist). A nod to him as an early teacher in this area

so, how to replenish/restore the good skin bacteria such as s. epidermis after a yeast or bacterial infection or general skin damage? can s. epidermis and good skin microbiome actually prevent fungal and bacterial infections (including gangrene etc.)? do certain supplements help with this (like vit. v3 or niacinamide that's clinically proven to aid and protect the skin, or lactoferrin that's supposed to inhibit bad bacteria and yeasts) or aid the good bacteria, etc.? also, is it true bacteria translocate from the gut-rectum to other surface areas of the body (as marketed by products claiming certain oral probiotics can help via translocating to skin areas to restore the microbiome balance)?

Interesting information, but does it strike anyone else that all this structure, complex mechanics, and order came about randomly, by accident, through the "theory" of evolution?? I mean, even the analogy of "bricks and mortar" do not form accidentally, they are designed and made. Seems to me that skin, and this relationship with bacterium, was also designed.

Evolution is a bit of hit and miss. The genetic mutations and behaviours that are successful for the organism, are passed on to future generations. Those genetic mutations and behaviours that do not benefit or harm the organism simply die out. The genetics and behaviours of today are the results of successful mutations that enabled the organism to thrive and create future generations. The past is littered with evolutionary branches that simply weren’t successful.

Science is just the discovery of creation “thinking Gods thoughts after him”. :)
