- Back in 2016, I wrote the theme song for the video game Civilization VI: "Sogno di Volare". Today I'm sharing the MIDI Scroll from the original Logic session...

Sometimes I will open Civ 6, sit in the main menu for 3 minutes and 41 seconds, and then close it fully satisfied with my experience.
I used to do the exact same thing with CIV 4 back when I was in High School. I've always liked video game music, but I think it was somewhere between CIV 4 and Super Smash Bros Brawl that I really started getting into it.

This is the most random thing I have ever seen
I will never not like this track. Definitely my favorite piece. Some people may prefer Baba Yetu but for me this is your best piece so far.
I think Baba Yetu is more immediately lovable, but the more I listened to Sogno di Volare the more I started to prefer it and it eventually outgrew Baba Yetu for me.
Today i've played this song for my wife. Suddenly she said she got her hair standing straight on the back of her neck....
A few hours later i've tried it again and at 1.37 in it it happened again...
She even told me this never happened with any song before...
This is the exact moment this song is making me emotional :)
People who listen to conventional music always say that the true great composers have gone....
I tell to them, they went to produce music for movies and especially videogames like Civilization.
The next artform in human history will be known as Games.

Epic! I love this song and often play it on my MP3 player or computer. Add good headphones or speaker and you are in heaven. ;) Baba Yetu is my other favorite, also from Civ and from the same composer. I seriously hope he'll compose the music for Civ VII when it gets mate. :D

Less than year ago I started to read the faraway paladin novel series. In the end of the first novel there was writer´s after notes. Thanks to his recommendations I found these beautiful songs. I can´t read volume two without listening to this. I hope some of you will try to read it. It deserve way more love than it has received.

Could you please tell, why you didn't prefer to use changing time sugnatures? For me first vocal pharse for example was easier to perceive if it will be like 4, 2, 4, 6 beats per measure.
Whether it be Baba Yetu or Sogno Di Volare. You can't deny the mind they came from is one of the modern greats in my opinion
