    Vox mv 50 is a pretty cool little amp. Was actually comparing this to a joyo zombie bantamp. Ended up buying the joyo little cheaper and more gain.. Just think they are kinda cool and you would probably enjoy them

    Nice Vid and performance Jon! From watching some other Demos and discussing these Amp with people who own them, the only problem they seem to have is during a Live situation. The Amp is SO LIGHT you can drag it off a Cabinet at Rehearsal or a Gig! They ALL loved the sounds but dragging it off the Cab was their main complaint. Please keep up the Good Work my Brother and Have a Great Day!!

      lol!! oh yea..didnt actually thought of that ...but there are ways around this...1) you can always tie/anchor the cable someplace heavy so that you won't drag the unit away...or 2) get a wireless system!!! hahahah

    I've played a couple drive pedals with Nutube tech, just trying them out. They seem to do a better job emulating the sag you get from tube amps. Vox is still making great amps, you sounded great playing through it.!

    Hello Jon,
    Ive been really curious about these since they were released so hopefully you can answer a question for me.
    I know you use modeling stuff, and a Laney tube amp. Right?
    Did it feel to you like you were getting a genuine tube tone? Generally, tubes add some squishyness to the feel and of course warmth to the tone. On TH-cam its a little hard to tell these things because of the compression which takes the sound in another direction.
    Just very curious. Thanks!

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well....when amp modelling 1st started, we get complaints, myself included, about the sound, sluggishness and lack of response. Nowadays
      the technology has improved so much that I'm finding amp sims really feasible in live and recording situations. This unit MV50 is a totally new thing..it's true that you can't really see and feel a good ole tube, but the technology behind is really quite fascinating. The best thing is to give it a try and see /hear for yourself how it compares. cheers!

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      And I miss the question altogether... Silly me .I love this little thing... It responds to well to my playing that it feels exactly like a real tune amp. I played a lot of Marshall JCM800s in my days... And it is really close. 🤓✌️

  • @lorcanmeister
    @lorcanmeister 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So do you think this Nutube technology sounds more realistic than Helix Native processing? Do you still prefer Helix for how many different sounds you can get?

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know what? It actually does...but the Helix is still my go to because of the convenience and options it features...:)

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep.. You are right! But I'm sure there are ways to power this little up..in a portable way..✌️🤓

    • @Junyo
      @Junyo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      19 volts, max 50 watt...this means 2500 mAh should be enough juice to power it for one hour. You just need to find a DC/DC converter that gets a battery to provide 19 volts.
