And we always can be the first seed in some place, maybe with someone that never had this kind of help, we can be the first hand to take them and help them. Someone has to start it so more people can do it too :)

Gosh I remember listening to this for the first time at Boardmasters. I knew Arlo’s other tracks but this completely knocked me when she sang this. It was the peak of the pandemic and I’d finished school and moved cities a year prior, I didn’t have many friends around me and it was so hard to find people because of the restrictions. I felt so isolated and alone, all the time. It was difficult to open to my family about the extent of it, I don’t think they quite understood how bad everything was. I remember sobbing and singing with my whole heart to this song. Every word she sang resonated with me to my core in that moment, and I just found it so incredible that she’d manage to capture everything so succinctly, whilst simultaneously being so kind in her comforting advice that Covid is temporary. Arlo Parks really is someone so special ❤
