Just found this. I bank fish at the Tecumseh bridge whenever I'm near it. Love that river and want to float it, but need a buddy to make it safe, yeah. Enjoyed your video immensely.

So glad you enjoyed the video. This place is special. I do love it so. I would recommend Sunburst Ranch as an outfitter to help get you started on your float trip journey. If you go on the weekends in the summer months, it will be easy to find a "buddy" to float with ya. You are smart tho, not to tackle it alone without experience. I give you props for you intelligents there 👏
      I wish you luck, cheers!

I've seen many people camping on the gravel bars throughout the years I've been there.

I go to north fork every summer for a weekend and this year 2020 I M going in July hopefully Because of covid 19. But other than that I stay at river of life farm and go to the same restaurant you ate at.

What section of the river did you float?

It was a 12 mile float from Hammond Bridge in Ozark County to the campsite at Sunburst Ranch. A very popular float for that part of the river.

Thanks for sharing your trip, looks like a great time! I'm researching to go on my first ever solo kayak camping trip and this river was recommended. Any important tips?

The river gets it's power from the many natural springs that feed it. The water temperature is very cold all year. I would recommend thermal gear if your going in any season but summer. If you fish, bring a good size net, lol. Have a great and safe trip.
