- Embark on a four-day adventure through the breathtaking Eleven Point River, which winds along the picturesque border between Missouri and Arkansas. Our journey begins at the rustic Cane Bluff campsite, offering a modest yet cozy starting point. With the river's flow at approximately 420 cfs, we encountered unexpected challenges, but the rewards were worth it.
As we navigated through the meandering river, we were greeted by numerous small springs that kept the water crystal clear and the riverbed sandy. The towering scenic bluffs provided a stunning backdrop to our journey. Although our time constraints prevented us from reaching Greer Crossing, one of the world's largest springs, we marveled at the unique beauty that surrounds it.
During our expedition, we also explored the fascinating history of Turner Mill, the focal point of the remote town known as Surprise. Founded out of sheer surprise at the potential of this remote area, Turner Mill played a vital role in the community, grinding various crops like grain, corn, sorghum, and tobacco.
As we reached our takeout point, we experienced a mix of emotions. The excitement of reuniting with family and the comforts of home was undeniable, but the allure of adventure and exploration remained strong.
Join us as we revisit the Eleven Point River, a place that promises unforgettable adventures and a deep connection with nature. It's not just a journey; it's a celebration of both the past and the present.
Our Kayaks:
NuCanoe Unlimited
NuCanoe Frontier 12
Eddyline Caribbean 14
The Trip:
We voyaged 40 miles from Cane Bluff seeing sights such as Greer Spring, Turner Mill, Boze Mill, Mary Deckard Shoals and Halls Bay Chute, passing Riverton and Morgan Spring, ultimately ending our trip at Myrtle Access.

Absolutely beautiful breathtaking video!! Is excellent work! Please do one of our beautiful Pomme de Terre river & lake! It will most likely save our water and land! Because when people actually see it and come and experience it they We'll see why we love it so! Help stop the pollution And the greed of the big corporations and small ones that only think about money!
Thanks for the kindness! We got our start kayaking on the Pomme. We haven't been back in several years because of concerns with the pollution. We figure if we go back, we should do it right and help spread the word!
Shallow water will get ya. Maybe it's all them sausages :p Y'all eating like kings.
Loved the vid. Keep up the great work! Got my sub.
Sweet, thank you! We eat better on these trips than we do at home. 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing work!
Thanks, Grandma! Buy good!

He's the man!
The Eleven Point really is a stunning river beautiful video. I can't believe how loaded your kayak was good job. The food prep was over the top for sure not going hungry.
We love to eat good on the river!

Absolutely beautiful work!
Thanks for the kind words!
Great adventure
Indeed it was!
Another masterpiece. I'm starting to look forward to you next vidlog already. you are going to run out of rivers :-)
Then we shall do them again! 😆
Keep it up man, you’re killing it with this content. This is a beautiful one of a kind river and your video really did it justice! I’ve been looking for this one to come up in your uploads and here it is. Did not disappoint. I floated this twice this year from cane bluff to whitten and will definitely return.
Very much appreciate the encouragement! Which stream are you hoping to see next?
I’m looking forward to a 3 night float this coming May on the upper Buffalo. I think that’s one of the coolest rivers to film with all of the bluffs as well. I’ll be looking for your video!
Nice video guys, looks like a great stretch of river!
Thanks, it sure was! Can't wait to go back!
@@OzarkMediaCo The water looks so clean. Usually only think of water that clean way up in the northern part of the country
@@escapewithjay Spring fed streams are the best! It's crazy to think about an underground system of rivers and lakes that are crossing paths underneath you as you float. All the pressure pushes the water up through minerals that filter and clean it. The result is brilliant!.
super well done video! was an amazing river to explore with you guys. gotta do it again someday
Excited to go back.
This makes me want to go paddleboarding again
I'm always impressed/surprised with what paddleboards can do. So simple, yet versatile!
Didn’t know sit-on kayaks could handle rapids so nicely. 👍. What model Sit-on kayak do you and your buds recommend for your river tripping ?
They're Nucanoes. The Unlimited and Frontier 12 are beasts! 700lbs capacity, easy to stand up and walk around on and they handle remarkably well, too.
great camera work
Sleeping bag,Don’t buy Chinese,buy good!What a hard lesson!😂😂
Can't take him anywhere...
Awesome! Would you mind telling us what the collapsible go pro mount is?
I use DJI Osmo Action cameras rather than Go Pros. Those are the telescoping mounts that come with them.
We are looking to do a similar trip in the spring starting at Cane and ending at Riverton. Any tips?
I'd try to start early on the first day and.pirnthaat first stretch behind you in the morning. Don't pass up any really good campsites bc they're few and far between. Very thick brush on the banks of the 11 point.
River rat
I resemble that remark.
