Just a little tip I discovered. If you're doing the drip remedy where you flush it from the top, use super hot water. I tried it again and again without succes, then I let the water get good and hot and it fixed it.
Fantastic instructions but did you forget to mention that there is a touch reset button on the batter box. I went crazy doing everything and then I just touched the button on the battery container and woalah the H2O started to flow and restore faith in my wife and a kudo kiss.
When we bought the Delta touchless faucet during a total kitchen remodel in 2012, we figured this would be convenient and cool. We're now on our third solenoid (which has now died as it won't shut off when running the hot side). They seem to die routinely, for one reason or another. The warranty only lasts 5 years, so now we're going to have to purchase another one (third purchase). If you are looking for reliable touchless faucets, stay away from Delta. I'm not a plumber, so we paid a professional to install it originally. Since then, I'm the one under the sink, lying on by back un-connecting and re-connecting the solenoid. It is not an easy, nor simple task. Their support staff barely speaks English, doesn't comprehend the issues, and acts as if you're stupid when explaining the problem. Their solution is always, "replace the solenoid." It seems to me that Delta should come up with a better, more reliable design. WTF? We're going to fix it for the last time and start looking for a better faucet company.
Any suggestions what to check when I get a loud whistling noise when I turn the temp to hot water? No noise at all for cold water, but as soon as I turn it to hot, The faucet starts a loud whistling sound. Sometimes it goes away after a few minutes, but here lately, it has been staying until I change it back to cold or turn off the faucet. I have a Delta touch faucet, much like the one shown in this video.
9V batteries won't have enough output or capacity to last very long. I use a battery pack made from a rechargeable batteries, like 18650 lithium ion cells, or a sealed lead acid battery. The system is able to tolerate the higher 12V. Lasts a long time with the higher capacity. It's been working fine for years on mine.
How often does a solenoid go bad? I have very intermittent, but getting worse failure to touch. When I fiddle with things, it fixes itself. The battery replacement indicator is not flashing so I've assumed it isn't battery related.
I have three touch-faucets in my house and had a similar issue with one of them. It turns out that one of the wires would keep bumping something under the sink that was metal. Make sure that every one of those wires is not touching anything - don't let them touch each other or anything that may possibly have any metal in it. I used tape and zip ties to pull (and hold) the wires out away from the other parts of the solenoid, battery, sink shank, etc. I considered wrapping the wires with something to insulate them, but just pulling them out of the way of everything else worked fine.
I'm on my second faucet in 10 years and starting to have the low sensitive issues. I've checked the wiring and the batteries. I will try calling Delta but will probably have to disconnect the solenoid and use like a regular faucet. Very disappointed in Delta and this faucet in particular. BTW... Mine is slightly different than the one in this video but seems to have most of the same parts.
I can NOT get the head removed. I want to SCREAM. I see the little button but it doesn't feel like it pushes in nor can I get the head to turn. What do I DO?
I have a delta touch faucet that’s about 2 years old. So I have issue with the battery holder itself. The lid keeps popping off constantly which essentially makes the faucet useless as it won’t work. I’d come downstairs some mornings and had no water only to find the lid popped off. And today it’s to the point it won’t stay on now for more than 30 seconds I wouldn’t have purchased this if I knew there was such a poor battery holder design.
We've had two of these faucets over several years & never had that issue. I'll bet they'll replace it. Or is there a way that you can support the battery holder so that it doesn't creat a strain on the lid? Like a velcro backing to the wall?
When I touch the head of the faucet, the water is flowing. We've had the faucet for about 6 months and it just started doing this. No idea why or how to fix it...

Old weak batteries (7 volts) the faucet works, with the low battery red light. With the new batteries (9.5 volts) the solenoid does not work. Tried this twice. All that's left is the solenoid.
Hi Simmi, I'm sorry there is an issue with the battery life, we are happy to help! There are a variety of reasons a Touch faucet's battery life may be shorter than expected. Using c-cell alkaline batteries will have the best capacity. See here for more information: support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/Battery-Life-Seems-Short
@deltafaucet is there a way to just purchase the blue filter that is inside the solenoid? Mine has a tear in it causing the faucet to constantly leak in touch mode.
This faucets are NOT worth the ‘convenience’. Something is always going wrong with this touch technology, it’s definitely not ‘smart’. Half of my search history is how to fix this stupid thing. Just buy a regular faucet.
4:55 - GOLD! I did it right away and saved myself from the ongoing hell with the touch system.
Taking the handle off and flushing it about 7 times fixed my dripping issue. Thanks.

Where is the button? I don’t see one on mine.

Can I use a single 9v battery to power the solenoid instead of 6 AA batteries?

Same issue. I’ve been trying for 10 minutes. It will not budge.

I had the same problem.... I just taped the lid on. I used black electrical tape, but duct tape would work as well. I've had it stay put ever since.

Immediately experiencing issues the day its installed. Why did we even bother getting this touch faucet.
Same
The magnet rusts and leaves crap all over your sink.
I have to change the batteries every month…why so …? Is it normal???

Everybody do yourself a favor and disconnect it, and do the old-fashioned way you'll have peace of mind trust me!
we paid a crazy amount of money for these units, mainly for the touch feature, so we shouldn't have to do this just to have some peace of mind.
@@jeffcouret trust me, count your losses and just switch it over since I've done it. I've had peace of mind.
Exactly 😂 @@jeffcouret
