    I love mine. This synth is gonna be on the “most sought after” list someday...mark my words.😃
    Thanks for the great demo!

    The x station in a nutshell: great sounds (once you adjust the presets), great midi controller (works well with daw and other synths), pretty good interface quality. Negatives are the encoders, and the input jacks. The build quality isn't horrible, but its plastic, so act accordingly (not a roadster). I found my 25 key version for $200 and I haven't regretted it. The positives far surpass the negatives, in fact I would say I tend to view the negatives as little quirks; nothing that will take away from your experience, just slightly annoying. If you are on the fence, I would highly recommend it for the midi control alone (all of the pots and sliders transmit midi), but the audio interface and synth sounds take it over the top.
    P.S. 3 oscillators! very surprising bass capabilities (I prefer the bass sounds on this over my nl2x)

    Demo helped me a lot as I said before I just recently bought this model, no instructions no user Manuel, wasn't sure sure if it would be worth it or not,but because of your video I can see that it was,so thank you again bud...😅😅

      If you ever do need the user manual, you can get it by googling the model number followed by "PDF", usually comes up first result :)

    I bought a second hand one last month for £175 for fills on home recording and cannot stop messing around with the never ending options it provides. Love It!

      Thanks for your message Dad - I agree, this synth has incredible depth. The presets sound dated now but I honestly think it's capable of pumping out pretty much whatever you have in mind. Plus all the fun 'accidental' sounds you'll inevitably create :) Gearfacts

    Just found a 61 online today and snatched it up. While I’ll await judgment on how the sounds are until I can use my own studio speakers, they sound useful enough for me to be able to use. The arpeggiator in this seems promising, but what I ultimately want to use it for is a controller. The KAOSS-like pad seals that for me. It’ll replace my AKAI MPK49 which is a fantastic controller, but I need 61 keys.
    I plan on having it hooked up to my MUSE Receptor VST player, so having the SPDIF output able to connect the audio to that, too, will be a fantastic bonus!

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep I think it's one of the better controllers out there. 49 keys is minimum for me personally, but then I have a very cramped, immobile kind of playing style! But even for me, 25 keys is way too limited. Yeah I think you'll be very happy with it.

    Great demo! There's something I'm wondering about. Let's say I connect a midi keyboard to the x station. Is it possible to select different sounds for x station and midi keyboard and play them at the same time?

    I had this a while back, it was good, but programming it was glitchy, and sounded identical to v-station vst.

    • @gearfacts

      Yeah I picked up one or two glitches too. Some weird mod stick behaviour but I was always able to edit my way out of that.

    Can it do convincing analog synth and organ sounds? Seems very modern although the short sample where it had a "Twin Peaks" Badalamenti thing was impressive.

    • @luaPevitisoP
      @luaPevitisoP 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no built-in sequencer but rather an arpeggiator. That will clock-sync to a DAW (and you can either let the DAW or the Novation be the clock source).

  • @boimesa8190
    @boimesa8190 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does this have a sequencer?? And what about the midi out? Do you think it will control the VolcaFM input?? And what about using the audio inputs without a computer, do they work??

    I want to buy A Synthesizer,
    After hours of listening to my budget Synthesizer,
    It's the Synthesizer that sounds best to me,
    The problem is that it is really cheap compared to others and it's a little scare me,
    And I also read online comments about him,
    And did not see that they excited from him as I was excited,
    Most of the responses said he was just nice
    So please if you can answer me a few questions,
    1. First is this Synthesizer, or just a midi controller with an extra of some sounds?
    2. Is it good for synthesis?
    3. In this video, do I hear the Novation X-Station ORIGINAL preset?
    4. Is the device in the video connected to reverb or delay? Or it's pure sound
    5. Why is it so cheap- $ 242.99, has it got any problems, or drawback that I have not seen?
    Sorry for my weak English

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello!
      1. It is a synthesizer
      2. I think it is good for synthesis, there are many parameters.
      3. Most of the sounds in the video are original presets, but there were a few of my own sounds too.
      4. The sound was pure.
      5. I have seen it go for less than $200. Because the world is crazy :)
      Thank you for watching Gearfacts!

    Does anyone have a link to the vocal effects capabilities? I've used it before but I can't find anything on this feature.

    • @MrJackalicious
      @MrJackalicious 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no vocoder features. You can apply the on board effects like reverb, delay, chorus etc to any incoming signal but it's totally separate to the synth engine
