We GET UP, GET OUT, and DO SOMETHING! for Father's Day in our new Opus OP4 offroad camper trailer. It was our very first time using it so we knew there would be some challenges and a learning experience. The OP4 accommodated 5 adults comfortably and even provided us with some much needed AC on a warm summer night. The kitchen is an absolute luxury and having a warm shower in the remoteness of SPI is definitely a new experience for us. This was indeed one of the best Father's Day weekends ever for me as my family was with me to enjoy every minute of it.

So I'm somewhat of an overland minimalist, you AWESOME CAMPER is making me rethink that :)
I would do the bare minimum if I could. I need a decent bed and some amenities in order to feel good the next day. Otherwise, it would be the simplest setup for me. Thanks for watching. 🎥

I’m watching this video and I can’t believe how fast time has gone by, since your very first east cut camping adventure, kids have grown up, Sandy has even grown herself haha.
All of our camping adventures are a learning experience since then we have both added to our over landing gear.

Thanks, Alan. Between 7 and 8hrs topped off. So I had it running at around 8pm to precool the tent and then topped it off with fuel before bed at around 11:30p. It died before 7am.

My son loved the coloring book! It's a steal at what you're selling it for. Maybe one day our familia's will hang out, but my GX isn't ready for prime time just yet. lol

Are you capping on us? 😂 I’m not competing with any geographical area for the “hottest” camping site. I am sharing our experience at SPI for other visitors. I’m sure there’s plenty of hotter areas 😂
Awesome content, you inspired me to take my family out doors and start the over landing experience, we just bought a 2006 GX 470, I'm having trouble finding a shop that can custom fit 35inch tire after a 3.5 Icon suspension lift kit, any shops you or your community can recommend?, I live in San Antonio Tx, do not mind driving out of state to have work done on the GX

Stock load Ironman, but just bought the OME with heavy springs all around and Timbren SES bump stops
@@CoastalGX I’m thinking about 5100s on stock springs. I just want maybe a .5” lift
@@flight2k5 remember your stock equipment is very good. Probably best to hang on to it if it’s in good shape. Save the money so you can upgrade properly in the future.
