    The drop you see at 2.30 on your throw LED runtime graph is when it starts flashing. Strangely drops to moonlight and from there it flashes, it looks like your sensor isn't picking it up too good which is why it looks like it does. Have a look at Zeroair's graph and you'll see what's happening. Same behavior on mine, not sure what triggers it. Always a great thorough review.

    Thanks for a great video! Do you have any recommendations for budgetfriendly flood-only headlamp? Personally I just use headlamp for relative close-up work/activites and dont want any hotspot.

      Thank you! Maybe Sofirn SP40 with TIR optics?

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast ok! Isn't that SP40A? I thought the tier lens gave a little more concentrated hotspot? Have a Skilhunt H03 today that I really like but a back-up headlamp is good to have! 😊 I gave about $25 for it from banggood some years ago but now they are like $45...

    I don't like the lanyard hole of the HD15, it's kinda sharp. Can other tailcaps be used? Thanks!

    does the 4000k version have dual high cri leds?

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I'm concerned, it should be both hi CRI on 4000K version

    When you were charging from 1 flashlight (black) to the other flashlight (blue) at 5:55 ... How will the flashlights determine which will charge the which ? The lesser capacity flashlight gets charged by the more Full flashlight ?

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, no idea. I suspect it has to do sth with voltage of each battery and current flowing from higher to lower voltage to equalize. But there is also a driver in between...

    Can the HD15r use a FLAT TOP battery as well ... I just wanna clarify if I understood what you said correctly ?

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, correct. It has springs on both ends of battery tube

    АКБ на 3А пойдет на этот фонарь или малый ток?

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go with standard 6A or even 10A. Just for safety and efficiency

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast is it OK to use Sanyo NCR18650GA(10A) 3500mah battery with this flashlight? HD15 seems to work fine, but runs quite hot on High. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it's fine, Sanyo GA has 10A constant current discharge rate so no worries. It heats up as the led is driven properly with higher output. Unless the battery itself heats up quickly after Turbo operation, you have nothing to worry about

    Witaj, mam pytanie troche z innej manki nie dot tej latarki, jakie ogniwa 18650 o 21700 najlepiej stosować w latarkach tzn amperaż?? Im wiecej amper tym mniejsza pojemność?? Czy warto stosowac np 20A i wiecej. Proszę o poradę. Z góry dzieki za info. Pzd Łukasz z Czeladzi.
    Na 18650 mam narazie :-))) Sofirn SC31 pro i Convoy s2+, a na 21700 Wuben C2 i Wurkkos TS21

      @FlashlightEnthusiast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Witaj, jak słusznie zauważyłeś im większy potencjalny prąd rozładowania ogniwa tym mniejsza jego pojemność - fizyki nie oszukamy. Do latarek takich jak SC31 Pro, Convoy S2+ spokojnie możesz dawać ogniwa o wyższej mojemności czyli np. Sanyo GA, Samsung 35E, LG MJ1 itp. Ogniwa wysokoprądowe oczywiście też zadziałają, jenak latarka nie wykorzysta ich potencjał, a czas świecenia będzie krótszy. Zasadniczo ogniwa wysokoprądowe warto stosować w latarkach gdzie mamy albo jedną diodę prądożerną (np. SBT90) z jednego ogniwa, lub z jednego ogniwa zasilamy kilka diod (kontrukcje jak np. Fireflies E07, Astrolux EA01S itp.). W takim Wurkkos TS21 ogniwo 5000mAh nie wykorzysta pełnego potencjału mocy, jendak różnica nie będzie widoczna gołym okiem raczej ;)

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast Hey, now that you mentioned the SBT-90 - would Convoy 3x21 be better than the 4x18? Say if we use 3x Samsung 40T 4000mAh 30A discharge rate compared to the 4 X Samsung 30Q 3000mAh 15A(I think), would we get higher output as we get twice the amperage, and is it noticeable/worth it than some other 21700 batteries I have that are ~4800mAh and probably around 15A but with lower internal resistance?
