By coincidence I was just messaging Wurkkos's Terry to ask if they are considering updating some of their other flashlights to a constant current driver - since they've recently re-released the FC11 as FC11C with a buck driver. Having a regulated driver in this HD15 would make it a killer light.
If there was stabilization at the level of 200-250lm per lamp, it would be one of the best choices on the market. 2x neutral white Samsung would be nice.

I picked up a SkilHunt H200 recently. Got the 3000K Nichia 519a version. Love that thing. The warm light is dead-on with halogen lighting. The 519a is really All The Hype.
For a long time, I too avoided right-angle lights, though regular flashlights don’t prove terribly convenient when I’m doing close-up work, and I’ve recently taken up running, so handheld lights are a non-starter.
Right angle has kind of grown on me, as not only are they great for running, but it’s also really easy to set up a fast work light when working on a computer, smartphone, or something of the sort.
A 4000k version is available on Wurkkos website, it’s the one I have and it’s great. The included strap is pretty useless but the Skilhunt HB3 strap works very well with the hd15.

@A-Fern I guess the hd20 would be too big for the HB3 headband? Spicy3d sells the HB3 but no wurrkos hd20 clips, I was thinking of eventually getting the Emisar right angle light, which does have a clip for the HB3, but it's low on my list of lights to get, I rather the AA Emisar first for one
@@digginggopher Correct. The hd20 is too fat for the hb3. The hd15 is actually a little tight but that is what I prefer.

I remember when creating my headlamp recommendation list fro my website, I was surpsied by how good the HD15 was, even though it's one of the least expensive headlamps that I mention on the list.
It's certainly not flawless, but the price is low enough that it's very easy to recommend

That would be awesome. The novmuv2 is the sickest Flashlight. It’s got me hooked on FFL now. Especially since I love that they make their own emitters. But Jack is his own man, does things differently I guess. I can recommend them if you’re interested in purchasing one. There are also discount codes. I`m a 21700 guy so, the HD20 is my go to headlamp. I have 2 and i want two more.
I used to hate the way the right angle looks. It's just weird to me and I am totally ignorant about its utility. Ever since I got myself the Manker E02 about a year ago, I started to understand the existence of right-angle light. very helpful when comes to me working on DIY stuff, so much so that I decided to order a Skilhunt H150 today ;) Excited to think about the day it arrives at my doorstep
Lol i watched this then went to buy it but ended up getting the hd20 i stead since i have like 8 21700 but only 1 18650
I hope it fits my use case, i metal detect at night sometimes, my sofrin hs41 is great for the most part, but its a bit too throwy for me, i dont notice a hot spot in person, but on my gopro you can see a hotspot in the middle when im looking at the target I extracted from the ground
Since the hd20 has both a throw and a flood light, im hoping the flood light is good to illuminate everything without the hotspot on camera, otherwise i might just use both flood and throw and change to just flood to show off the target 🎯 🔦

A very universal flashlight. If only there was a BUCK controller. In addition, the spot reflector concentrated the light more. Additionally, stabilization of 200-250lm per lamp and it would be a perfect product. There's not much you need, and yet there's none on the market. Fenix created something like the HD15->HM71R, BUT 21700 is too heavy and has large power drops. I like stable flashlights, but unfortunately there are very few of them.
I would love to see a buck version for sure, hopefully they will update this with one of their newer drivers.
I've got a couple of these. Despite the output regulation issues, they are my most used lights by far as I find right-angle lights are much more useful when working on things. I regularly use the headband as well. Outside of the HD15, what would be your pick for a good right-angle 18650 light?
The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro that I reviewed remains my favorite right-angle light/headlamp.

i'm considering getting this, but it'd be my first light using 18650/18350. does it have LVP and/or a built in way to check the batteries?
(don't really wanna carry around my multimeter to check manually!)
if not, perhaps i should get protected cells, just in case. OR the dw4, since anduril won't kill my batteries. thoughts?
Yes it has LVP, the button indicator will also turn red when your voltage gets low.
