As a Re:Zero fan, I have to say: The Subaru nendoroid isn't even GOOD. It only has a neutral face and two scared ones, and the same goes for the poses. No smiling face, no iconic poses, no butler outfit, or anything. There's literally nothing about him that should make him special or hard to get.
Honestly, I thought the same way. I really wish he had a winking or smiling face to go with his thumbs up. I only bought him just to complete the set. Plus, there aren’t many figures of him which I can see why. Not a flashy character.

I missed out on gamma version Deku (which should’ve been the original tbh) and the ones I have found are even more overpriced than retail. I have some in my collection that I will keep for a very long time because I just can’t sell them. She seems to be the case for you so go for it!
Ah yes, limited Nendoroids. I still remember my dissapointment when they released Ahri and the only way to get her was to attend 2014 League of Legends World Championship Finals in Korea.. Thankfully she had her global release 4 years later... xd

can we also talk about the nendo price increase? when i was in middle school i got miku 2.0 for $30. now, almost 7 years later, the price of the average nendo is $50 (if you’re lucky). i want to support gsc and their sculptors but it’s come to the point that me, as an average consumer, find it difficult to buy figures at all outside of prizes.
It all depends on if you desperately want that nendoroid or not. My most expensive nendoroids are Umaru-chan and Megumin, each of them was for about 130$ without posting and customs. In total I could buy 3 another "normal" nendoroids for the price of one of those. But I just wanted them so much and there wasn't any signs of rerelease.

You should follow Goodsmile's Twitter or Facebook page, because the Bayonetta-related posts were some of their most liked and shared in this whole year, just surpassed by Okami Amaterasu's nendoroid posts (funnily, characters from the same creator). SEGA, Platinum Games, and their social media also shared that her nendoroid was up for preorders. Still, it does suck when you can just get them at GSC's store. One gets used to ordering stuff at pages like Amiami. My advice again, follow GSC over at social media to keep track of their announcements.

Funko Pops, Black Series, Nendoroid etc. The day I decided to just buy what I want and can get, and not sweat about those I couldn’t, I felt the most happy as a collector. Companies will always sh*t on their customers for more money or other reasons, and expecting them to change is like expecting people who collect figures to stop cold turkey. Both things will never happen.

Subaru and the Kill la Kill Nendo's got an unannounced rerelease this year back in July on GSCUS. He was in-stock for about 2 weeks which surprised me. I managed to snag one before he sold out. But fuck me, Rem and Ram are on like their third reprint while Beatrice sits at $140 second hand on a single run.... and she is the only one im missing :(

Sometimes you can see what figures will come out in the future through the goodsmile Twitter account as well.

To an extent. I don't think any of a character's main outfits should be limited but if it's like a once off outfit that doesn't really have any extras that matter, I think it's fine. I specifically had Prototype Saber/Arthur in mind when I wrote that with 842 being his normal one and 1051 being limited but niche enough that it probably shouldn't exist, let alone be a standard release. Deku's new nendo with his newer suit and better effect parts should not be exclusive/limited for so many reasons lol.

The resell prices were double or even triple his actual price. Two months later Goodsmile releases him in the U.S store but I had kinda lost interest.
Yes I included them in the video at 3:18. They're selling her at a markup because they're just buying her direct from GSC and then reselling. My point was that you need to buy direct from GSC or their partner store within the order period to get her for the cheapest price, which is already far too expensive for what she is.

I love how people who collect action figures, Nendoroids, figmas, etc., all complain about how expensive they are. As a doll, action figure, game, Nendoroid, and general toy collector myself, let me just say, Nendoroids AND doll collecting is way more expensive. Dolls can cost as little as $30 to as much as $2,000, depending on the doll! While most Nendoroids tend to be from $40 to $70 approx, the most expensive I've seen is $400. I'm not saying that's cheap, but compared to the doll price for the highest? Yeah, in the doll community, it's annoying that they don't talk about reviewing other toys and just dolls, but in the Nendoroid community (while their variety is wider from action figures, anime, games, and some Nendoroid collectors may even collect Pop Funko figures, etc.), they complain way too much about prices. Wish I could find a channel that does a variety of high quality toys while not going over the prices. A balance of both.
