Best of luck with whatever you buy, the Kodak and grizzle have the same 686 engine but have different gear ratios. Grizzly would have a higher top speed and ground clearance which would be popular for trail riding etc.. Kodak has more low grunt for pulling power. The cvt transmission is out on its own, you won’t feel the full power till you give it some welly. It would frighten ya! The 420 or 520 are very popular, bigger frame too. Great to see all the bikes in the one place 👍
I think Lamberts need an extension on that showroom. Kevin knows his stuff. If you are looking to use a quad for anything heavy in the winter you need the big engine, ground clearance and a winch.
@@Canningfarms the winch is great for pulling the quad out of a hole when the wheels are spinning and digging deeper. With a good load and the right wet ground it can be an easy spot to find.
All good quads on my second suzuki in 14 years bullet proof only ever got serviced never put anything else in them out everday do 2 or 3 miles some days more you'll never be without one again best of luck with what ever u have chosen everyone to there own
Well that was brilliant info. Great vid. I've a suzuki 400 king quad since 2018. Good all rounder. Does spraying and trailer work with a 7-4 trailer. Handy as you can bring the quad and then use the trailer behind the quad if access or whatever is an issue. Bit low on power and no power steering. Would deffo have power steering. Great idea to show the prices and finance deals and bundles. Huge info. Great add for Lamberts and Kevin. Bit away from me here in Co. Meath but I'd still go visit when in the market. Love all the vids but this one hit a spot for alot of people I'd say. Top job.
Thanks so much yea just though alot of people be in the same boat as myself looking for info.. what sprayer do you have for the quad if you don't mind me asking will be a purchase for next year the weeds are getting bad
@@Canningfarms it's a Fimco. Lance and boom with it. Works well but for large areas a weed licker would be the job. But still handy. Got it with the quad.
Great video as always gavin,I love your videos there absolutely brilliant and you've a great head on your shoulders about farming. I'm a dairy farmer from cork and I'm a few years younger than you but I've the same beliefs as you, look after your cows and calves first and foremost and everything else comes afterwards. You've made a great choice with the quad though a great purchase. Treat yourself to a fertiliser spreader for it though it will be worth the money I assure you there a great job. Keep up the great work lad 10/10💪👌
Yea everything else will fall in place if try and get the stock right.. thanks so much glad you enjoy the video it's hard to know if I'm doing them right or not.. its a dream to have it
Hard to say what you might choose. I reckon the Kodiak for the greater pulling power but the Grizzly if ground clearance is an issue for you but I don’t think the higher speed is particularly relevant. For this type of machine I’d definitely discount the manual gearboxes.
You're some boyo Gavin, a passport to enter Roscommon. Shur don't you know it's only Galway men that need to produce a passport when entering lovely roscommon 😉😂😂 For me I'd be going for the big Grizzly, plenty of poke and loads of ponies. No matter which one you went for the best of luck with it 🍀

He does he's a great lad with serious knowledge yea some of quads.. yea winch would be handy for pulling out lengths of timber

Chapman flail mower.....brilliant bit of kit for rushes.
Looks it seems to clean them off really well
Ok for a guy with about 2 acres, hard on a atv pulling it all day especially if it’s automatic and hard on petrol also

Great video. Good value there

In my opinion Suzuki kingquad 500cc are good on very hilly ground. I’ve got one and most of our land is hilly and it is so stable of it
It's a lovely bike
Noel always gives great service

Hahaha roscommon is a funny county better to bring the passport to be safe 🤣
@@Canningfarms let me know on future before you travel and I'll ring ahead and get you safe passage. You'll be grand 😁
Yamaha all day long.
Get a 750 it will be big enough to do anything you
I doubt they have a cigarette lighter on them, wouldn’t be much use😂 great video..
Haha I ment power outlet 😅 lighting the cigarette in the rain
What acres are being farmed. Whats the min need to get a quad.
Farming 80.. always need for a quad
Honda far better to buy
If it was 2 wheels I'd say Honda wins every time. Yamaha seem to be better spec'd though. Need a video on Helmets and safety clothing now Gavin!
That sounds good I'll have to get moto mc for the safety video
