Lunafreya is simply going to be an include in lists with water. With the rabbit and astrologian, it’ll be even better. Timing with knowledge of your deck and your possible hits will be a from of skill expression that will look nearly identical to someone just slamming it and praying. But the difference will be there in the results. Watch out for water’s continued craziness. It’ll be interesting to see what other LB cards pop up. Another thing I was speaking about with friends is that after Lunafreya, casting a single Leo removes one of water’s win conditions in Tidus. A water deck holding off on Leo for bigger payoffs in Lunafreya + Tidus might feel strange considering how strong Leo is. Time will tell, but the LB choices are definitely going to get more interesting next set… except for wind (yuri is already an auto exclusion)
Agreed that Lunafreya is going to create a super interesting top end for Water. It’s kind of scary that it’s anything that can run Water as well. Stacking the deck with stuff like Astro is definitely going to be a stupid good way of manipulating things to your favor. I’m excited to see what we can do with that. Also good point that Water may have these SUPER powers too end cards like Tidus and Lunafreya but you’ll be stuck with the choice of what to play, to ensure you don’t lock yourself out of certain options. ~Ryan
I think you’re implying that hope would summon 2 category XIII from deck in a single turn. Of course this doesn’t work, but using rug to get around summoning sickness so hope can pay the cost of the action ability does work. Rug is just being used as a haste battery. On your turn you summon rug and hope. Hope summons a category XIII character. Move to attack phase. Rug attacks and gives hope all the keywords. Hope, despite summoning sickness, has haste and can now attack or use the dull ability on the card. If hope attacks and has brave, hope is still active. Before your turn is over, you can utilize the haste one more time to use hope’s ability. Turn 2, hope enters with summoning sickness. During attack phase, you use rug to give hope at least haste. Rinse repeat.

Question is, do we sacrifice the 2CP Light Lightning to play Rughadjeen to accelerate the board presence?
