  • One of the awesome features of the new Headrush Looperboard is the ability to program a MIDI controller to control certain functions in the Looperboard. This video describes how to program the Behringer FCB1010 to work with the Looperboard.

Holy smokes, thank you!!! FINALLY, I have found out how to control my looper board with a footswitch pedal. Geez, I wish I had found this 3 years ago.

Super helpful video! I’ve contemplated diving into the world of foot controllers, but found it all a little overwhelming/confusing. It looks to be great/convenient for the actual live experience although extra gear to lug is exactly what I was trying to avoid with the looperboard. Thanks for another great vid!

Thanks! I feel the “not another piece of gear” dilemma. That (and the FCB size) made me hesitant. But in the end it’s STILL less gear than I was lugging, for far greater functionality... so I went for it. Of course I’m also shifting my focus from live gigs to performing on TH-cam so it’ll stay parked a lot.

Daniel Howell Music hey! Do you have any experience relating to other devices? I’m keen to do this, but I really just want to access my fx racks. I’ve been researching the Tech21 mongoose and the discontinued boss/roland fc-50. I just want something small. Thanks!!!

Hey there thank you for this video! I’m wondering is it possible so that I can turn off all program change functions in buttons as I’ve noticed each button has multiple functions either to send CC and PC. I just want the CC so that I can number the buttons and configure them with my boss RC 600 and use buttons to stop individual tracks while using expression pedals to control dry/wet of effects

Great video. I have the same equipment and this will really help me. Question - I noticed the FCB1010 LED light on #1 (at minute 9:10 in your video) does not turn off/ON to indicate that the HR LB rack is off/ON. Does the FCB1010 not flip its LED when on/off? Or am I overlooking something? Thanks a BUNCH!

Any chance you got the new firmware? :) I’m trying to program for the new settings and I can’t get it going now lol

Can you add an Eventide H9 in this setup? The other question is based on people complaining about the Looperboard doesn't synch correctly. Where would you put the H9 in the signal chain so that everything synchs.

I am having a hard time getting the Looper to receive from the FCB I don’t know what I’m doing wrong ... I set the foot switches 1-4 to trigger midi 11-14 record/play/dub but it’s not working at all .. am I missing something? I set both to be on the same channel for midi ... I got the fcb so I could not have to put the unit on the floor.. I want to loop via FCB. Hope this makes sense and I hope you can help lol

Sorry you're having problems! Since I don't have your rig right in front of me there's only so much I can suggest, but here goes: 1) Be sure the Looperboard's MIDI option is on (it's off by default). It's in the global settings; 2) Be sure the FCB and LB are operating on the same overall channel. Easiest way to check this is to set the LB to receive commands from all channels. 3) Some global setting is messed up in the FCB; 4) You have a bad MIDI cable; 5) You have a malfunctioning FCB or LB. Hope one of those can get you headed in the right direction! Thanks for watching!

Daniel Howell Music I am just confused about the footswitch actions 0-60 .. does this mean the cc# AND the data number will both be the same? Or say I want CC 11 to start track one recording will it be cc 11 then 1or 0? Hope I’m clear on this ... lol thanks again I promise no more questions lol

Thanks but it don't works for me. I want just control the 8 tracks boutons. I put the track 1 recording footswith on the button 1 of the FCB, I put the CC 3 and the value 11, I push UP to enter and I push DOWN to escape and record setting..... but it don't works.
When I connect my FCB1010 on my PC, I can see 'firmware unknow " on the FCB1010 éditor

No, it works. It was my MIDI cable the problem. So don't use a cable "MIDI IN OUT to usb 2" with the headrush. Use a normal MIDI cable.
