- After having the new 2021 BMW 330e for a couple days, I thought I would bring out a video detailing 5 things I hated about this car! You can catch my previous video on 5 things I love about the BMW 330e touring on my channel!

I get the dials and dash area but I love they have kept the buttons and dials. No touch buttons etc, use without looking while on the road
Think it’s all personal preference really! Being younger I think I prefer the aesthetic of less buttons and more screens, but the buttons are always going to be the simpler and more efficient option!
These buttons are really handy!
the lower keys (from 1-8) aren't for the radio. They are programmable keys which you can use to e.g. have your home address stored and when you want your GPS to navigate you home, you simply press them. They can also be phone numbers or many other things. I guess you didn't read your manual or this is your first BMW, otherwise you'd probably know it.
I only had it for a few days mate, but whenever I pressed the keys it always told me about it not having a CD in…
@@OLT_TV I Actually think that the shortcut buttons are an excellent idea and would speed up access to infotainment options. They just need programming. You will notice in your video that when you press one, the screen says "Unsigned". This is because they have not been set.

He is a mercedes user.... looks like he has know ideia about how to use or enjoy a bmw... the multimedia of a bmw is one of the best in the market... the "basic options" allow you to do everything with multimedia unit and more...

Trust me you may think having some buttons look “dated” but sticking a big iPad on the dash with no physical controls at all isn’t all its cracked up to be. I speak from experience lol

Those buttons that you said look like a CD player are great. You can customize each of those buttons to do anything you want from the infotainment. Those buttons are not just for music or radio stations. You can make the buttons a shortcut to almost any item/feature/screen from the infotainment. Sometimes some features that you find useful are hidden in the menu and it's hard to access them while driving. Clicking one of those buttons sends you to your favorite feature you want to enable.
You can also link the buttons to other accessories, like your garage door!
@@BIG2hats how can you link those buttons to open your garage door? I suppose they could be disconected from the car and connected to some remote control that you have hiden somewhere behind the dash or in the globe box?

The instruments are really Great To look at. I don’t understand what you don’t like about it😱 The build quality is really very good
I think I just like more of the screens and digital displays that you see in some modern cars! Can understand why people like the physical touch instruments though!

You can turn The beeping sound off To open/close The car

You can turn the beep off in settings, also you don't have the wireless charging option but you could use the type c in the centre console.
5 things I don't like:
1. Drivers cockpit is poor in terms of customisation options and colour - just all a bit bleak.
2. Android auto does not work sometimes and my music skips (could be my phone, but it glitches out regardless)
3. Wireless charging pad overheats my phone.
4. I find the gearbox a bit laggy when pulling away from junctions and general gear selection when coming out of corners, seems to take it's time dropping a gear.
5. AC is behind a menu rather than a physical button.
Yeah I realised after handing the car back you could change that setting, I thought it would be an option… as for the USB C, it’s not really used in the UK!
I can agree with some of the 5 things guy don’t like too! Definitely more than just the 5 things the car has flaws to!

I get the, 'out dated' opinion, but having owned a Golf 8 recently, you can't beat a real button! The golf is full of passive touch buttons which you don't even know you've pressed. The beemer is far better for eyes on the road.
I think being someone who’s grown up with everything in life being touch screen and things like that, it’s weird for me to see physical buttons on brand new cars! I get what you’re saying though, and they do still have a great feel to them when using which you can’t beat at times!
You can turn off the beep in the settings, I turned it on myself, you can also connect your iPhone wirelessly via wireless CarPlay (charging is optional if you have the option of the charge mat)
you could also move the phone into the centre console if you get a usb c to lightening cable.
The buttons are macro keys too, handy to jump into say journey data than going through the entire iDrive system.
It seems like you bought the car without knowing anything about it 😂
The screen complain though I do agree with somewhat but still it’s a nice big display anyhow.
I only had the car for a short amount of time (less than 24 hours), it was just a short drive while with work. I really like a lot of the car, but to make these videos I’ve got to find something I don’t like!

The air condition setting for glass + other is for colder climate where frosting is issue, I live in Finland and it’s must have to see anything out of the windscreen in winter 😅
And steering wheel’s bulky 3rd spoke is like that because there is heated version of that wheel and the button for it is that spoke on top of the msport emblem
Good explanation for why the steering wheel is bulkier! Its a shame they haven't found the ability to slim this out and still include the heated steering wheel.

CarPlay is wireless in BMW - you charge your phone using the usb C port in the in the centre arm rest storage - will charge quicker too.
Yeah I get the USB C port charges quicker, but USB C isn’t too big in the UK! And the CarPlay wasn’t working wirelessly unfortunately
@@OLT_TV that’s strange to be honest - I’ve never connected phone up for carplay has always been wireless for me and yeah I get your point about USB C but the sooner they know the better 😂
@@zeeshanmahmood1475 I’ve managed to use USB C a few times and I agree it’s so much quicker than the standard! I guess it’ll only be when apple forces people down that route that the majority will go with it… I was surprised too that the wireless CarPlay wasn’t available

I imagine it probably can! But as an iPhone user, who really has USB C? In the Uk at least it’s so uncommon!
@@OLT_TV My last iPhone came with a USB C to lightening cable (iPhone 11 Pro Max). You should get one and try it. They are available on Amazon pretty cheap.

If you’d watched the videos, you’d know I only have the car for short periods. Don’t have the time to read the manuals, and 99% of the time hire cars don’t have anything in the glove box, therefore no manual to read!

it looks like you don't know exactly how the features of the car work like the buttons 1-6. if you option for the wireless charging pad you wouldn't have the problem with the cable. I would just get a new short cable and have it in the the armrest if I was you as it bother you in the front.
about the left side buttons on the wheel,if you have option the car better you could have had driving assistance that works also great in city driving in heavy traffic. my point is that it looks like you don't know the car well enough yet. there is a lot there that you will found out. and check into coding with bimmercode,its very easy. you can also turn of the sound when unlocking/locking the car.
Not my car mate. Not me choosing the options. I reviewed what I had!

2:20 - there is literally a usb C to plug your phone in - inside the centre console!
No one uses USB C in the UK. I made that point.
