    This fix improved my feed reliability a lot (talking about smoothing the edges). Thanks very much for the video. I have one further suggestion: I used emery boards instead of sandpaper. They are cheap and semi-rigid, making it easy to sand evenly.

    Had issues myself with the first 3 range trips. Frustrated, I’ve Since educated myself on loading the magazine correctly and now it functions great. A uniform stack as you described, each round stacking left, right, left etc, is KEY! Tip, If you notice one round out of place, tip the mag upside down, pull back the tab to release pressure, give it a tiny shake and it sets the round back in its place and continue loading. If you stack it right, it’ll shoot right. Simple.

      You are correct about making sure the rounds are loaded into the magazine correctly. If not, it definitely will create malfunctions. Also noticed that these magazines swell when loaded fully. Thanks.

    I do agree that mags need to be sanded inside. Was thinking about it after seeing certain brands get stuck in the middle of the mag. Thank you for the confirmation!

    First, thanks very much for offering a procedure to help alleviate thee mag issues. I tried your fix on 4 mags, and the feed reliability is much better. Between training myself to *carefully* load the mags to ensure proper alignment and applying your fix, I am actually starting to enjoy my P322. I have one further suggestion. Instead of sandpaper, I used emery boards which are semi rigid and make it easy to evenly smooth the edges.

    I’ve had mine about 2-3years now. Worked flawlessly for well over a year. Out of nowhere the mags just kept on dropping the rounds nose down. I’ve load my mag with the patience of 100 Saint!! I’ve tried every trick in the book! I’ve filled, sanded, cut springs, used different ammunition, I’ve cleaned, I’ve lubed, I’ve SPIT ON IT!! Nothing works! I’ve loaded it while holding it upside down. I’ve power the round in under my own thumb pressure. Ive just barely with little to no pressure with the assist trying to load it. This was my best 22 handgun I’ve ever owned flawless not one single problem after thousands of rounds. Now I can’t get through a single mag without a magazine hang up. I wish someone would make a aftermarket magazine for this gun because these things ain’t cutting it. Im using the new Taurus TX 22 Toro. And you can load each mag with your hands without any trouble to easy! And their mags run great. Heck even the g19 / 22lr conversion mags run flawlessly. Sig mags are the only 22lr mags I have any problems out of. Maybe someone should start a new company just fixing p322 mags and sending them back to the customers for a fee plus shipping.

      @kevinperry9024 Totally agree with you on the factory mag. They seem to swell up and cause problems if fully loaded, even doing all that you mentioned. Magpul should put out one for the p322. The material they use in their mags seems to hold up well. Thanks for visiting the channel.

    LESS spring tension?? Wow. Never would have guessed that. I was wanting to add more spring pressure

    • @redarmory
      @redarmory  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jagpilotohio Just my take on it since I noticed the mag swell up when fully loaded. Even following Sig recommended loading instructions, the upward pressure is causing the rounds to stack uneven. Try all options prior to modification since you can't go back.

    I have had a Sig P322 for about 10 weeks. It is used almost daily in training classes. Have fired more than 5000 rounds through it with zero problems. Anytime I buy new mags, for any gun, I clean them thoroughly before use. As for these mags they have run flawlessly since day one. I disagree with this video in that it is important to keep pressure on the round you are loading in order to avoid rim lock. The included load assist device does just that. I do agree that the stacking should be checked for alternating seating in the mag. If you cut off a coil you may experience malfunctions after extended use so be aware of that when choosing to do so. Otherwise this is a nicely done video instruction.

      I bought five 25 rounders two weeks ago and they don’t feed worth a shit. Unbelievably bad and I’m certain I’m loading them correctly. Failure to feed over and over until about 12-14 rounds left then it goes ok. I will try the sanding.

    These mags are definitely subpar. They should've been made out of steel.

      @@redarmory 2 of mine, if I load more than 13 rounds, will not drop free from the handgun, which is obviously a mag swelling issue. My 25 will only work with 10rds.
      I think if they made these mags from steel, all issues would disappear.
      One thing is for sure; it is an *incredibly* accurate handgun. I uploaded a video shooting mine at 153yds offhand against a leaf.

      @@Valorius Steel would be good, but not really necessary. If KelTek can make poly mags for their P17 pistol that hold 16 rounds and perform *reliably* (I own one, never had a feed issue). Sig should be able to provide decent mags for a gun that costs twice as much!

    Bought a P322 Comp and was very excited to shoot it. Went straight to my range and was pretty let down. The RomeoZero Elite RDO it came with is garbage, when you try to adjust it you turn say clockwise and the dot will raise. Then if you try to bring it back down a tiny bit the slightest twist moves the dot probably 15moa....FROM A SIXTEENTH OF A TURN LITERALLY. Same goes for your windage (left or right). So I got rid of that garbage rdo. Then the mag feed issue, the lack of parts available, the absence of a parts explosion, just not worth the $600 I paid for it. For that much $ for a 22 there should be NO problems at all. Meanwhile my Canik MC9 has had 9500rds thru it and not ONE malfunction and it's supposed to have a bunch of issues......not buying a sig ever again. Trigger is garbage too.

    • @redarmory
      @redarmory  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jasonjaeger4042 I agree the red dot is not ideal, I'd prefer a lower price point and letting me pick the dot...or include the updated RomeoZero. I did not have any issues with zeroing the dot, but you are correct that the adjustment screws don't have feedback. For me, besides the occasional light strike and feeding issues before the mods, the pistol is actually fun to shoot now. Hope you get all the issues figured out.

      @redarmory got the mag issue sorted but shouldn't have to when ya pay that much for a .22. When it's running smooth it's great, but still disappointed with my purchase because of all the problems I had. Should have just bought a Ruger 10/22 rifle

    I just ordered some springs that are 1.0mm thick compared to the factory spring which is .6 or .7mm thick. To me it seems like there is not enough spring pressure, but I see you're thinking it is too much spring pressure. Just curious as to why you think that and if cutting the spring shorter helped? Will let you know in a few days if the 12mm x 1mm spring works better. Appreciate ya taking the time to make the vid. Pretty frustrating purchasing a gun and problems right from the start.

    • @redarmory
      @redarmory  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jasonjaeger4042 One of the reasons I cut the springs was that when fully loaded, the mag body swelled, and mag would not drop free. After cutting the springs and making sure not to let the spring push up on the cartridge as I load each round, the mag dropped free from the pistol. I do not dismiss that following the factory instructions to make sure each cartridge is staggered helps, but that doesn't always correct malfunctions. I would like to hear back once you replace the springs. Thanks.

      @redarmory  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jagpilotohio Yeah, I noticed on the 25rds magazine that they tend to swell up when fully loaded and causing the cartridge to stack up uneven. I think if Magpul stepped up and made one using their polymer material, it would work better.

    • @jagpilotohio
      @jagpilotohio 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@redarmory it’s clear to me that the stagger is too severe because they wanted to maximize the number that would fit. They are putting too much pressure on the outside of the mag and causing way too much friction. I just coated the inside with silicone spray two nights ago and I will see if that helps. Last weekend I was only loading them to 15 rounds because the failure to feed was over and over again. Super irritating. I have 10 Taurus TX-22 mags with +5 extensions on them and I’ve never had a single issue in 25,000 rounds. Way to go Sig. beta testing on the public again. Assholes….oh yeah. I also had endless light strikes that I had to fix with a shim at the bottom of the hammer spring tube to increase pressure on the spring. It’s fine now but the gun was worthless at first. Probably my most disappointing gun ever right out of the box.

    • @redarmory
      @redarmory  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jagpilotohio Great idea with silicone spray, I use the dry silicone spray in my VR80 mags after every cleaning. Come back and update on how your range session goes. I, too, had issues with light strike at first, even when using minimag. Surprisingly, my new P322-Comp hasn't had any light strike.

    • @jagpilotohio
      @jagpilotohio 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@redarmory again I say beta testing. My unit is older. I bought it from a guy that shot one mag out of it and then put it in the closet until he sold it to me. The light strikes were common on early units. Sig said they had no answers but I’m 100% sure they made the hammer springs slightly longer. I cut the head off a very small screw and dropped it into the hammer spring housing to effectively make the spring longer and put more pressure on the hammer strut. TH-cam video showed the procedure….of course. Instantly solved the problem but I shouldn’t have to fix a brand new gun.

    I can't believe a quality company like Sig released such a poor quality firearm. If there was anyway I could return mine I would. I have other Sig firearms and love them but the P322 is a piece of junk in my world. I was at the range yesterday and never fired the Sig 22 once. It was embarrassing to have other shooters watching me as I unjammed two clips and never fired. I can't believe I am going to have to perform some gunsmithing on a new Sig to make it work!!!!
