Watched this series of videos prior to sitting my 2382 18th Edt exam and passed first time. Excellent tutorials on how to navigate the book, thanks. Would recommend to anyone sitting their 2382.
Finding out that the Functional Earth conductor in an RCBO is now PINK in the new 18th Edition and your mention that it used to be WHITE (which I distinctly remember, but didn't know that it has now been changed) was a really helpful relevation to me! Thanks for that Dave! I would have been caught out with that question if I was asked that (when I do my 18th edition exam), if it wasn't for this video! (I would have chosen WHITE and would have been convinced that was the right answer because that's what it WAS before). I have installed numerous RCBO's in the past where the functional earth 'tail' has always been white! I am really glad you've covered that! Another question of importance that you've covered is Question 6! I didn't know that the horizontal distance of Socket outlets from the edge of Zone 1 in a bathroom has now been CHANGED ALSO, from 3.0 metres to 2.5 metres. (I would have been caught out by that one also if you hadn't covered it. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work!
Thank you Gary, great compliments and appreciated. Yes, the videos are there to point out some of the traps that the examiners set. We all "know" that the wire is white, so why would we even look it up and check. Thanks for watching and good luck on your exam. Dave.
I have my exam in 2 days time and I thought I knew that answer but now it’s changed it’s all about. Money making. Man there are many many areas needs looking to it but that’s was changed
Thanks for video. I love your videos and the way you break it down into slides...I often take a screenshot of the slides to assist with my revision. Can you kindly do a video on how amendment 2 affects the inspection and testing course...would be very much appreciated.
Hi your videos have made the book very easy to navigate Have you got any videos on 2392 inspection and testing practical and the assessment test. Thanks in advance
Thanks for your comments, appreciated, Portfolios, speak to your own assessor, they will tell you how they themselves want it completed. Basically, photograph and document everything you do and let the assessor help you to decide what to include. Too much portfolio content is better than not enough. Your assessor should be helping you with this, its their job to guide you.
Thanks for the helpful videos, just wondering how to find which page number the Tables are on? The book just says the Table number but not which page to look at? Is there a method to find them easier? Or is it just a case that they’re close within the section you’re at already and you’ll have to flick through until you find it? Just seems a bit cumbersome if/when doing the exam
No, we don't just flick through. Be methodical, it saves a lot of time. Yes, the relevant tables are in that section but you should be using Table of Tables on page 573. They are all listed there with page numbers. I am putting together a question and answer video for amendment 2 just on the table of tables, that will help you greatly. Keep watching. Dave.

Excellent content as always. Just an FYI, you're microphone/recording software is making you sound very robotic. 👍
Thanks for the info. Appreciated. Thanks for watching.
