I really like their Moana medley, but their medley of Little Mermaid is my favorite by far. It blows my mind that the Moana medley has 45 million views and Little Mermaid has "only" 6 million views. Layne said that when they released the Moana medley, they just somehow caught it just right to have generate those insane numbers for views.
@@patriciaschuman4205 I've thought about that too - but I assumed (no research) that Moana was simply the bigger Disney show. I assumed that kids might have been responsible for some of it. And kids often like to hear the same thing over and over.
Geoff, the bass, did use a spray on tan to make his legs a little darker. I couldn't tell much of a difference. They did a Little Mermaid Medley two or three years after this. The high tenor on the right left in 2020. A new baritone was added in 2018, so the lineup had changed. Rachel was back Playing Ariel. If you react to it, you will see that their production values had wildly improved.. When Covid shut the world down, the concentrated on their video production and you can really tell. They are independent and do almost everything themselves. They have a Disney playlist you might want to check out. And they are dropping Be Prepared from Lion King tomorrow.
OMG You two are just the cutest! They dropped this over 7 years ago, but it still holds up so great! The quality of their productions has become more sophisticated in the intervening years, they've said a sad farewell to Earl who was replaced by J None, who in turn left them in '21 to sing in the Navy Band's choral program (but still comes back to feature with them frequently) and he's bee replaced by Cesar, but the quality of everything just keeps rising with each production they do! But this one is still one of my all-time favorites of their productions, even though it's less sophisticated visually, it is NOT less sophisticated musically! Please do more! Also check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel for some amazing stuff!
I'm going to add that they just released a new one today! And especially if you like Disney, you'll be excited. They just dropped "Be Prepared" from 'The Lion King'. Absolutely amazing beatboxing by Layne and Geoff is practically feral as Scar. Basses make the best Disney Villains, don't they? Eli comes off pretty scary for a hyena. But that is it for the members seen in this video. Their newest member Cesar, does a great turn as the 'dumb' hyena and an old friend who sang with Geoff, Layne and Earl back right out of High School has come down from his usual Broadway haunts to join them. It turned out deliciously wicked!

Their production quality has increased dramatically in the years since this came out. (I think their working budget has increased, as they've gained more followers over time.)

Ok ok ok I'm going to get hate but this is subjectively one of their weaker covers (the old ones with short haired geoff usually are). They're absolutely incredible now so pick anything from the last 3 years.
