i used to think altair was more stealthy but you brought up good points. altair would not be able to do the war machine missions since he doesn't have the weapons or tools to do so. altair is not very charming either, ezio was able to convice ahmet that he was an advisor when first snreaking in. imagine altair prettenidng to be a minstril in the revelations missio
Altaïr had that Old-School Stoicism and Discipline. Arguably as effective or even more significant than charm. He managed to parley with King Richard himself, all on his own. Expose his Lieutenant/General. Then kill him and his underlings without taking damage. Then walk away with no consequence from King Richard but his respect. The Stealth is definitely represented better in the Ezio games you have to admit. Though I think it's quite close. Altaïr's one true weakness was his impetuousness and arrogance after he lost Adha. It's like he became a different person. But then he rediscovered his true self and became the most respected Assassin in the Order and it's entire History.
A Huge factor is also the different Time frame and The Fact that Altaïr had to be in the first game with Ubisoft still trying figure out what are they going to do with the franchise so a lot of the Equipment that Ezio used were later added and Historically wise it wouldn't make sense for Altaïr to use some of these equipment but I think poison/Berserk Darts, Some kind of bombs or at least a similar weapon gadget of That of basem in mirage Nearly 3 centuries Before Assassin's Creed 1 and if I'm not wrong Altaïr had to disguise himself in order to infiltrate a Camp or something like that in Assassin's Creed Altaïr's Chronicles and he successfully infiltrated a heavily Guarded Castle/Fortress Named Kantra in Assassin's Creed bloodlines, The problem with Ubisoft soft is that they treated him like side character in a lot of instances like imagine playing AC1 merged with AC bloodlines/Altaïr's Chronicles or even both with a stealth system and equipment similar to Mirage With Decent Graphics and voice acting but I think that's a completely different topic
Debatable opinion is that feats goes to Ezio, rebuilt the Italian brotherhood, destroyed a whole empire, Ezio himself was the prophet mentioned in codex pages, hunted down the Doge, the pope and a would be sultan.
That's completely not necessary because altair is pretty good at hand to hand combat. But if Altair pull out Apple of Eden in middle of fight Ezio will done in like 2 to 3 mins.
I would like to mention that everytime Ezio used an Apple of Eden it hurt him in some way, whereas Altaïr was able to use it unhindered. Also, Altaïr was healthier in his 90s then his 80s - he didn’t die of age, he chose to die because he was satisfied with his life. Who knows how long he would have lived if he decided to keep going. Overall, I’m loving your longer videos. Can’t wait to see Connor v. Shay.
I rank them both #1, they are by far the best assassins in terms of stealth and achievements alone. If I had to chose though I’d put Altair slightly above Ezio, with both being leagues above anyone else.
Altair the best assassin the dedication he had shown to brotherhood is unreal ezio is goat and I respect that but Altair is built different like even ezio look upto Altair
I Think Ubisoft should remake the older titles just like how 2K did with the Mafia series and how fantastic Mafia 1 the definitive edition looks like, Improve The Graphics, Parkour, Combat, Side activities, Weapons and Gadgets and stealth and maybe customization and maybe merge AC bloodlines and Altaïr's Chronicles with AC 1 and maybe Make other games for Altaïr exploring his Adventures in Constantinople,Mongol empire and his other Travels instead of just lame comics and some articles in the data base that most players won't read and then I want to see a fair comparison between Altaïr and Ezio but unfortunately We are talking about Ubisoft 😢
My only problem with this is that certain categories are worth more than others. I don’t by any means think that Ezio wins by a landslide every time but I think he takes it most of the time and it would be very close.

3:40 you can actually learn throwing multiple knives skill in AC2 . Just go to training field in Monteriggioni and pay about 5-10 grand. Same as Dirt Throwing ,Swipe attack spear , Strong attack Axes .
I think a important note to realise in this matchup is this: It took Ezio 23 years to eliminate all the targets in AC2 and Brotherhood (with the help of at least 4 private armies too) It took Altaïr 2 months to eliminate all the targets in AC1 with absolutely zero help aside from snippets of information. He fought entire armies singlehandedly one of those armies was a army of assassins.
1:40 did you forget about Altair's charged attacks which 1 shot any low tier grunt? . I am not really an Altair d-rider but in AC Bloodlines we see Altair bend Moloch's chains like they are rubber bands and strangle him until he can't breathe. Altair does use his strength in combat but only when he has to so he doesn't get exhausted early in the fight. That's why he has no flashy moves and could fight an entire army of Templar Crusaders

I just rewatched that cutscene, 1. The sync bar wasn’t visible during that, so it’s impossible to tell. The animus just fast forwards the memory. 2. He never got stabbed and that was an illusion from the apple of Eden. Al Mualim literally admits this in the next cutscene.
@@WaKy. Then why does the sync bar get smaller? We can't see it during the cutscene but when we get to the gameplay it is smaller than what we started with.
Altair got hit at the start of ac1, De Sable punched him in the face. Plus, the "synchronization bar" thing can be easly debunked: the tips in the game say that you lose synchronization by taking fall damage, harming civilians, and getting hit in combat, right? In other words they say that you could get desynchronized by doing something that the ancestor didn't actually do IN THOSE MOMENTS. Take for example that ac3 mission where Haytham brawls in that tavern; The full synchronization objective is "don't lose more than 50% of your health", and at the end we see that the protagonist bled a little. This means that he got hit once or twice, but during a specific piece of memory that the Animus was reproducing. The moments between a mission an another (those in which the game allows you to free-roam) show only what the protagonist did before another key memory, like the various activities. Those are canon, but the rest is just gameplay. I don't think that Connor got hit in the face by an axe a minute before going to kill Pitcairn....
@@juliangiuggioli7728 Altair sync bar has never been debunked lol. 1. Altair’s assassination simply got stopped by Robert. The sync bar wasn’t even visible. You can fail Assassinations and get thrown in AC1 without losing sync. Just try assassinating someone late game when they’re looking at you. 2. Altair’s synchronization bar is a sync bar…any time you lose ANY PART OF IT…it’s Desmond messing up. The health display in the later games are health bars…big difference. Don’t even bring up the book. The Secret Crusade is a real book in AC lore (Ezio gets it at the beginning of revelations) and it’s a Niccolo Polo’s retelling of Altair’s life, it’s not a 100% accurate representation.
@@WaKy. In all ac games the bars aren't visible during cutscenes, even when the protagonists get hurt. For example: in Rogue Shay got shot and fell, in ac3 Connor got hit by a wooden baton and got pierced in the stomach by a stick, In Odissey Alexios/Kassandra got trew of a mountain and punched... but only because the bars weren't there doesn't changes the fact that they took damage. Plus failed assassinations are canon, like Ezio failing to assassinate Rodrigo, Shay failing to grab Liam, Arno trying to stab Germain and the Frye twins trying to harm Starrick while he has the Shroud. Yes, Altair's assassination was stopped, but he got punched whitout a doubt

If Altair never got hit then why was the "sync" bar reduced when he got stabbed by Al Mualim, by that logic the bar shouldn't be reduced.
