My husband pre-flighted our family. Made sure 4:16 cars were running. Kids were told to be good and not destructive. Dogs were prepared with good pats. Wife kissed and hugged. Then carefully dressed in handsome uniform, off he went.
On trips, not necessarily daily driving absolutely should preflight your car. Every time I fill up with gas, for normal use, check the oil, while its filling.
Excellent podcast Dan. It’s great to have the three of you together just talking about life. I definitely have pilot things transfer into my daily life. Not as much on the road, mostly because I have been a truck driver for 25 years, and pre and post trip vehicle inspections. I have caught myself using aviation terminology in a lot of my daily life. I like Bryan, tend to stop what I am doing to watch aircraft that are flying over. 😂 Most people just laugh at me for it. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and an amazing 2025. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friends 🇺🇸🛩️
When your spouse mentions some home maintenance that needs to be done, have you ever responded “well you need to placard that inop till I get to it”.

I do a walkaround, checking tires 😊
“ForeFlight is life” !! 😂. Hilarious but so true!
Went to flight school with a young man named TY he preflighted his car just like you would a plane. It was dang near a DOT inspection.
I have implemented check lists into many tasks at my job (not flying related at all)
I have heard someone refer to the driving part of their kid's driver license exam as a checkride! 😂
Funny Christy's all bundled up, I bet it's at least 65 F in the studio
75
@@TakingOff WOW, I'd be sweating at 75 F. I'd be wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
My office and home are kept about 68-70 max in winter and we're much farther up north.

Does waking up impact yours?
This pod has gotten worse over time. Vapid and irrelevant.
