Excellent description , but if we are going for proteomic approach in different stages of lactation in animals what would be the best and simple procedure for samples preparations.
You are talking about milk as the sample? That depends on what the analytical method is. My first thoughts would be a simple acetone precipitation so that all of the fat and lipid stays in the acetone and the protein is pelleted. Wash the pellet a few times with cold acetone. Then resuspend in whatever is compatible with the analytical step you wish to do.
