Usually to remove a screen - you should find a pulls to pull a glue string and remove the screen. In the case of this particular laptop - they were missing. Had to use a heat gun.

If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE 5 A515 43 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.

I’m planning to replace my keyboard on that same model. The replacement I saw online has no frame only the keyboard. Will that be an easy one to replace?
It would be easier to either replace a key cap possible or a whole palmrest with the keyboard. There are no screws ( far I remember) that are holding a keyboard. It would be problematic.

@@nielsonmeracap1729 replacing a key cap is relatively easy. The only thing you need to remember that it is going in only one way. Also, usually, you install the scissor mechanism first and the key cap itself second

I feel a bit confused when i wanna put an additionnal drive to this computer. Theres a small cable that comes with in the Drive bay that mention '' This side to HDD, and this side to Mobo''. But definitely the cable is not long enough to go on both ends . xD
Mine does not have the piece you removed to the left of the fan. Is that normal? I'm making sure my son didn't remove it. My laptop will not power on and has a blue solid light while the charger is plugged in.
On the left from the fan is wifi cable, hard drive and some USB board. Not sure what part are you talking about, but you can give me a time stamp when I am removing this part. Thank you! Although removing the hard drive will not prevent you from powering the laptop on. It would just not boot to windows.
I believe the piece you are talking about is a 2.5 inch HDD. The model I'm currently disassembling doesn't have one either. Instead, it has a M.2 drive located directly to the right of the battery. If your laptop is like mine, then you don't need the piece to the left of the fan, as they serve the same purpose as the mass storage device. Hope this helps!

You should be able too. You can remove screen , upper part, remove the bezel from it and should be able to replace it, but inspect it for sure before taking the whole laptop apart. Search for parts on EBay.
Mine on one side broke when the bezel came off. Do you offer services ? I have a video that I can share so you see if it is something that can be replaced. Thank you for your reply. Appreciate it
@@eniolaolamilehin1209 It is relatively simple repair unless portion of wifi antenna is under screen. Screen is glued in on the lid. Easier but more expensive solution would be replacing a whole upper part that have wifi cables in place. I don't offer some sort official help unless approached by friends and relatives or locals. Shipping this laptop back and forth would cost even more money.
@@eniolaolamilehin1209 also, if your WiFi is now not working but you need this laptop, you might consider a different solutions. If a laptop is always on the desk - you can connect an Ethernet cable if you are not moving your laptop much around or even use USB to connect wifi connector :-) which is of course not a best solution but temporary possibility. Why the bezel came off, does the bezel needs to be replaced too? Is the back.cover lid damaged? If yes, you might as well look into a complete upper part replacement.
Hey do you know if all the motherboards of the a515-43 series are compatible? I have an Acer aspire 5 a515-43-r28s and I can't find the motherboard for that exact model but I've seen plenty of a515-43 do you think the computer would work if I try to install one of those?
I would hope everything beyond 43-... isn't important. Go on eBay, take a look at the pictures and compare a few with different numbers after 43-...
