The difference between rookie and amateur is ridiculous. On rookie you simply can't miss. Whatever you do it's always a perfect hit. Whilst on amateur the green indicator is a rarity for me.
Hell yeah. This is exactly what I needed. Played my second match a little while ago and got bageled in the first but won the second 6-2. Turned it off because I’ve got to call it a night
I've gotten better pretty quickly. Still on Amateur, but I'm winning matches now. Just won my first Futures tournament. I'm playing full length matches and it can take a while. The one I stopped last night after winning the second set 6-3....I went on to win the third 6-0. That whole match took almost two hours. Part of me wants to shorten the matches to hasten progression. But part of me also wants to leave it in its true state. We'll see. Put together another spiffy outfit. Wearing it in the next tournament. I'll upload a snippet of that one.
I spend all my skill points apparently... I've leveled up several times but no skill points have been added. Will they eventually increase again? I need to improve my stamina, my player can't finish any tournaments because of the injuries...
When you level up, you will gain attribute points to put on your speed, Stam, power, serve and reflexes. So check in there to see if you have a bunch saved up. The skill points you will buy with the money you earn, they will be towards your shots like backhand and forehand or volley. So just go into attribute and double check to see if you have attribute points built up ready to spend and let me know.
Not sure if you’re still replying to comments here but how do you improve attributes? The ones you neeed money for. The only way I can see to get more money is by winning tournaments which I can’t win because my attributes are awful
Always around mate, and I will probably get back into this series soon. However your question at hand. You need to level up to increase attributes and you need to spend money to increase skills. Training gives you xp towards leveling and increases skill caps. Playing matches also levels you up. the best way is to keep grinding those matches mate, and even if you lose its all XP. The reward will come with all the hard work and losses when you start to win. Good luck and keep me posted as I'm interested to see how you go
when you are in game what do the pads mean like you can challenge the call but how can you react after winning a point or when you lose the point is that all in the down up and sideways arrows?
You may need to make sure you rest your player also, and make sure that you don't play every tournament. That will effect everything like fatigue and training and overall ability
I'm from Australia, it's hard to give you a window of rest, training and game time without seeing your play. But generally on the left under your character before you enter a tournament. You will see your fatigue levels

I have a question is the bar timing and power ? Can you just tap x (flat shot) and still get green. The timing bar doesn’t go up when you do that so I assume it’s timing and power ? Not just timing
So under control's you will see that the r2 button + what ever shot you choose will be the power shot. So eg: flat forehand shot X button with R2 is power flat shot and so on. I hope that helps
Van Ham thank you that helped. But can you answer this please. What’s the difference in tapping a flat shot than to hold the flat shot and let the meter go up. I can get green timing by just tapping flat shot. Or does holding flat shot allow for placement of the ball
that's what makes it so much harder, each difficulty setting has different timing at different points of the shots or where you are on court. eg: if Im chasing a shot to a far corner Im going to have barely any timing, resulting in mostly bad timing (red). As apposed to if the AI hit a soft one at me I am going to have more time to get the timing better. So yes you have to hold button in till you get the desired timing down pat. This is where the practice comes in and getting used to the game mechanics.
@@JamesIbby I discovered the flat tap X shot that's always green as well. But you get no chance for placement with a tap. It's always going to go to the default cursor spot in the middle of the court. But it's a great bailout shot when you're in a bind. You can count on it. Van Ham, I also use that shot when returning serve in critical moments. It keeps Danny away.........

Hey, is there a colorblind mode on this game? I want to get it, but I'm red green colorblind and I can never really tell when the bar is green or red

Odd it normally takes me 30-40 minutes to finish a full 3 set match maybe I just like serve and volley.
Good game, specially when you are winning.
I find that I hit a lot more winners in the top right corner than anywhere else. Seems like it's the geometry of the game more than anything else.
You will early on, it's a good way to beat the Ai. They will start to chase then down more as they get tougher.
