I love the new analog desolder tip and iron I ordered it on etsy that thing is such a game changer from what I see and wont damage like hotair does sometimes
Heck yeah, great idea! I installed Elecgear's hall effect kit for the DualSense Edge a few months ago, was able to calibrate it to 4.3% error and they have been amazing since. The kit came with the calibration board, modules, instructions for calibration, and a solder removal plate which I did not use. But the Gulikit TMR modules are amazing, good job yet again!
If you like over paying be my guest lol. You are basically tipping the person $100+. 2 modules $40 + 2 TMR joysticks $20 + 2 calibration boards $10 (less than $100 in parts)
@@syn80 I'd be more than willing to do it myself but I lack the skills for soldering. I'm lucky I was even able to put my Blitz back together after removing the motor and sanding down the face buttons. Seeing TMR Edge modules readily available for purchase after looking this stuff up for months is very tempting. I wouldn't need to disassemble anything and I'd have an OEM controller with TMR sticks, like a dream. Obviously I won't drop 200 bucks on it....but 140ish maybe lol There's also a listing for a DualShock 4 with TMR for 70 bucks. If I didn't already have the Edge I'd probably go for it

Would you please do a video talking about the tools needed for these kinds of jobs because in my home town there's no workshops like this and i want to learn more because I'm a gamer and i break stuff all the time and don't know where to go to fix them so i told myself why not to learn from you and the materials you use and start my own business so can you please help me out with the name of tools needed?? Just console and controller repairs please
Because Edge controllers can't be software calibrated like Dualshock and Dualsense controllers. Once they are able to read and write the firmware of the Edge controller the calibration boards won't be needed.
Off topic, but I used my battle beaver ps4 pad from 2019-2021 or so with their smart triggers mostly on RL and the right smart trigger ended up getting stuck and I had to pry it up again So BBCs claim that you "can play forza if you want to" with their smart triggers IS BS. If you cant play rocket league without it breaking, you can't play forza Fair warning if anyone reading this is thinking about battle beaver I also waited 9 months the last time I bought from them, which was 3 years ago.
I'm curious,did it affect your aiming significantly? I've heard a lot of people say it. I own a couple of hall effect controllers and my aiming is noticeably worse with those over a traditional analog sticks that don't have stick drift.
