- It's time for the third preliminary round! In the women's competition, it's choreographer Marla Smith of Newton, Massachusetts, vs. microbiology major Kelley Peacock from Van Nuys, California. In the men's round, deputy Dale Thompson from Ontario, California competes against laborer Rob Bottiggi of Fairport Harbor, Ohio.
Joust: The Gladiator and contender face off for 30 seconds on elevated platforms. They must knock each other off with pugil sticks.
The Wall: The contenders attempt to scale a rock climbing wall, being chased by Gladiators.
Assault: The contender must attempt to hit a target while a Gladiator shoots at them using a tennis ball cannon.
Human Cannonball: Two Gladiators stand on pedestals, and the contenders attempt to swing towards them and knock them off.
Powerball: Contenders try to score points by depositing balls into baskets and avoid being tackled by three Gladiators.
Atlasphere: The contenders and Gladiators battle in spherical metal cages. The contenders must stand on scoring pods while the Gladiators try to stop them.
The Eliminator: The Eliminator is an obstacle course spanning the arena, the winner of which advances to the next round of the competition.

Welcome to the official channel of American Gladiators, home of patriotic spandex and giant cotton swabs.
Beginning in 1989 for 8 seasons, this competition swept America. Two men and two women compete against each other and a roster of "American Gladiators". Events included, The Assault, Joust, The Wall, Breakthrough and Conquer, Hang Tough, Powerball, and many others, all culminating in the final event, "The Eliminator", a difficult obstacle course race. Every season there is a tournament to determine its "Grand Champion". For two seasons, there was an "International" competition taped in England where the champions from 4-6 countries competed similarly.

Truly loving this series, never saw it in the 90s, anything 80s and 90s i love man.
I wish you would upload season 1 but I'm grateful you uploaded all of season 2-6. Loved this show when I was a kid. Ice, (The First) Lace, and Blaze were my girls. Gorgeous athletic women with beautiful smiles but required toughness for their roles. I'd let them kick my ass any day back then. Then again during this season I was only about 5 or 6 years old. Yeah, I watched this when other kids were out playing or watching Sesame Street or the Disney Afternoon. This show was amazing.

Was such a great time to be alive. As cheesy as the show was at times, it was always good fun. Atlasphere was pretty useless of a discipline though. Barely anything ever happened there in regards to scoring.
Atlasphere sure was fun to watch, though! It was so unique. It was my favorite of the events.

I seriously want to get AG back ASAP, who else agrees with me on the idea? The UK are getting their Gladiators series back and that should fire us up here in the States to get ours back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they don't make the same mistake of the last reboot and ruin it with lame events, interminable interview segments and a convoluted eliminator that took so long to complete it rendered all the prior events pointless.
But they would likely do exactly that.
Can't wait for the 30 for 30!! Every single one of these events was bad ass but I wonder how many legit injuries happened during the human cannonball

Watching one contender run the Eliminator by herself is the most flaccid thing I have ever seen.

4 Contenders really poor at joust there.
The best thing of this episode was BLAZE saying "being defeated is only a state of mind!!!" Fabulous, that's 80s 90s TV excellence opposite of garbage on TV today. Otherwise all 4 contenders were some of the worst ever on AG. Rob Bottigi was one of the worst contenders ever, miracle he even got 1 point
These competitors were a disaster, they already started badly since they started.
Warning- The gladiators and contestants are highly trained athletes and have a lifetime of experience, but they are not invincible. Bodies have been broken, necks broken, concussions inflicted, lives shattered, and careers ended in an instant. Although it is entertainment, the hazards are real, and the contestants and gladiators take real risks, endure unimaginable pain, and put their bodies, their careers, and their lives on the line.
