Stephen Otto That is the main reason I can’t listen to Ravi for too long. When asked specific questions, he talks all around the question and never gets to the actual answer.

Truth is hard to swallow. But thanks be to God for Dr. RC Sproul (Mohler, Lawson, MacArthur) for proclaiming the truth of God without any compromise. God Bless you, and give you strength to continue faithfully in His work.

This is why I am a lover of the Reformed faith. The understanding of the Bible is so deep that you see the wrath of God and the love of God are part of glorifying Himself... Big fan of R.C's ministry.... I pray so that God always protect and gives him strength for his ministry until his last breath!

Kira Zo I'm new to the reformed church, I am at one now, and I was just looking for a biblical church (coming ftom charismatic circles), and I was able to find a biblical church, thanks to God's graciousness and goodness. it's so cool to see young people want to be under biblical, sound teaching--I think sometimes there may be an assumption that young people want gimmicks and a "cool" church.

That's not what Jesus Christ taught (cf. John 10: 22-42),
"Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your law, "I said, 'You are gods'?" IF IT CALLS THEM GODS TO WHOM THE WORD OF GOD CAME, AND SCRIPTURE CANNOT BE SET ASIDE, can you say that the one whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world blasphemes because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?"
      particularly vss. 34-36
"His divine power has bestowed on us everything that makes for life and devotion, through the knowledge of hima who called us by his own glory and power. Through these, he has bestowed on us the precious and very great promises, so that through them YOU MAY COME TO SHARE IN THE DIVINE NATURE, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire."
      cf. II Peter 1: 3-4
"For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, AND YOU SHARE IN THIS FULLNESS IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power."
      cf. Colossians 2: 9-10

People keep saying they will pray for R.C's health and that is fine but you have to come to the fact that every hair on this man's head has been numbered and his appointed time is ahead as is yours, you may very well die before this man. Don't pray for his health, pray that he continues preaching the Gospel until the Lord takes his life.
R.C has been a faithful servant for his whole life, I'm just glad God created the internet so that I could have had the chance to hear such amazing expository & exegetical preaching. When the Lord eventually takes R.C's life, it will be as Spurgeon once said, a Holy judgement on this sinful world. Praise God that his sermons will live on and be used to bring sinners to Christ.

What a blessing Dr. Sproul is. You know if you watched every one of R.C.'s videos on TH-cam can you imagine how much your knowledge of scripture would increase. Of course, there's nothing stopping me from doing that except laziness. But maybe I can get up enough sticktoitivness to at least give it a try.

After reading Randy Alcorn's book, Heaven, what stood out for me was his description given in his introduction pages of our terminal disease. He yes: "As human beings, we have a terminal disease called mortality. The current death rate is 100 percent. Unless Christ returns soon, we're all going to die. We don't like to think about death; yet, worldwide, 3 people die every second, 180 every minute, and nearly 11,00 every hour. If the Bible is right about what happens to us after death, it means that more than 250,000 people every day go either to Heaven or Hell."
When we talk about Religion, it is a collection of cultural systems, beliefs, and worldviews that establishes symbols that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes to moral values. When I think about the question of Death and the finality of life, I would like to draw from this is that every one of us is subject to the same death and the same Savior, then why are we not being taught to obeying the creator as we ought?
In view of my own experiences growing up, I have had several encounters of demonic attacks; even though my experiences brought me much closer to the God of the Bible. Even though I was able to see into the spirit world, I know without a doubt that spiritual forces do exist in the spiritual realm!
My prayers go out to you to get well soon and may God richly bless.

@20:29, think of Elijah vs the prophets of Baal, and how he responded to the threat of Jezebel. Question? Are there still servants of YHWH like Elijah in the world at this present time, through whom He can use to carry out His perfect will?
Also, his explanation is directly contrary to Mark 16:20!

  • @dmustakasjr

I think it isn't just an agent of revelation that is authorized to perform works. The NT says that the wonders are signs themselves of the coming of the kingdom of God and that the kingdom of God has come. cease of the wonders would indicate a cease in the kingdom if that is true.

    • @eduardodiaz1791
      @eduardodiaz1791 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Victoria Pelaez Romans 14:5-6
5In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. 6Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.

It is stated over and over that GOD "cannot" be tempted... If CHRIST is GOD in the flesh, than that would mean the answer is NO, CHRIST cannot physically think or do the temptation... I'm certain HE felt it in HIS flesh, but could not fulfil the temptation... HE is our faithful Hight Priest....

In other words, according to Calvinists, God does choose to create people in the womb but then chooses and decides to not allow them to repent but blocks them from being able to, and then intentionally and deliberately sends them to eternal suffering and torment in hell without any chance or hope of salvation. How loving and encouraging that is.
