I want to share my experience as it relates with your journey from being an OFW to being a Canadian. We came here 1995 PR upon arrival. I’m an A&E Consultant in KSA that time maganda ang kita at benefits but my concern is the future of my family once huminto na ako as OFW. It was a gamble knowing that it would be a great sacrifice and struggle for a big change to happen. Talagang nangyari lahat yong mga sinabi ninyo na magtrabaho kahit janitor, mrs ko naman sa Mcdo we have 2 boys isa born d2 in short naging mahirap nuong una peru naging maayos ang lahat nuong huli. Quality Inspector ako sa isang window company but started as a production worker sabi ko ok na ito a bit part of a building components at management. Si mrs naman naging mgr na sya sa McDo nuong huli. Now we’re both retired living and enjoying our life here in Vancouver the most expensive city in Canada.

Bata pa kayo you get more opportunities here also your son can explore more even in other countries he choose when he gets to finished his University. Just for my background we have 3 adult children and they are all on their own. Mas maraming opportunities sa mga bata here because they can moved to other countries to work.

It cost more here than in the Phil. but minimum wage there is 570 Pesos/day while here in BC is 17.40Can/hr X 8 = 139 Can X 41 rate = 5,699 Pesos. 1,000 % higher, so even if goods cost 2x more your still on top.

Pero nanjan na po ang hubby ko closed work permit, takot na baka umuwi dn kami luhaan dahil sa pabago bago na news pero nun narinig ko un story na baka dahil lang sa nalalapit na election kaya mahigpit at possible naman magreturn sa normal gumaan po un pakiramdam ko. Takot kasi ako i give up un work dito sa pinas. Pero as always alam ni lord gaano ko pinangarap ang CA ever since talaga. Salamat po sana makaating ng smooth.. naiiyak ako mixed emotions haha.. love you all

Most of the people we asked po prefer here sa island, kasi tahimik, less traffic, ang daming parks, etc..
Kung ako mas gusto ko dito tlaga esp pag may kids na.. pero si hubby dsw mas gusto nya sa Vancouver, dahil prefer din nya ang city life pag weekend 😅
@@AprilinCanadaVlogsjust don't move to other province for 2 years baka ma-disapprove ang application ninyo for citizenship. Anyways, vancouver is ok kasi maraming opportunities siguro hindi na kayo mag move sa ibang lugar.

We’re from Vancouver mainland btw 😅& planning to move to the island. Vancouver is getting waay more expensive na & chaotic, not a great city to buy your first house (but still better than TOR imo). We were considering AB too but the weather there is too much for us. Sayang time mag shovel ng snow every morning & for longer months.🤣
So yeah VanIsland is first on the list.. still BC..atleast if mamimiss ang city life, accessible lang naman sa VanCity mainland, pwede on weekends lol.👌🏼 pero not much of a diff. Naman, just more big establishments & malls ganun.😆

All my siblings are in the US. We could have migrated there easily. We chose Canada despite having no support network (walang kakilala at all) because Canadian values are more aligned with our values than American values. American values are more geared towards individualism and materialism. Glad you are happy with your choice, April and Jim. More power!
