As a life long Red Wing fan, i have to give massive respect to the Blackhawk fans here. They were still cheering for Kane and most didn't leave their seats until he left the ice. Thats truly special. Big props Chicago! Keep it classy!
I mean yea, it was pretty low hanging fruit. Losing isn't really a bad thing for them. The night was pretty perfect for both sides tbh

If anybody was going to score an OT goal last night it was going to be that man right there. The building was full of star power and this is the building Kane called home for so many years. As a Blackhawks fan when I saw Kane control that puck I actually had hoped he scored. He deserves it. Nothing but respect for him.
Yes, a classy moment for Kane. But not to be a downer, at the same time last month, Bulls fans booed the deceased Jerry Krause when they honored their '90s championship teams, which then made his widow cry. That's a classless gesture in the same building and city of Chicago. I lost a ton of respect for them after that

Patrick Kane has been a medical miracle, and is looking like an all-star out there. In the 27 games hes played with Detroit, Kane has scored 28 points with 12 goals and 17 assists. After coming off a hip surgery with over a quarter of the season played nobody knew what to expect from Kane and he didn't have any offers until Detroit signed him. He made his Debut in there 32nd game of the season.
That's not quite accurate. Kane CHOSE Detroit. He could've gone elsewhere.

A Wings fan all my life, loved when Yzerman got Kane for us. We all havenour favorites but also love the sport as a whole. The talent and abilities of the players is 2nd to none.

this is why when people ask "youre a red wings fan and dont hate chicago????" I just say "i dont have a reason to hate them". people think having a "rivalry" means you have to "hate" them. its never been that way for me. If anything, ill hate some of their ignorant fans - but have no reason to hate the players or organization. thats just silly.
