The only problem with this method for me is memorizing the holes. I have been on narcotic pain management for 10 years and I can't remember anything anymore. Its a necessary evil but man... the memory loss is really tough to deal with. I use to be really smart, I promise! lol It would be awesome if one of those really really smart dudes on Discord made a list of water skip holes that could be printed out and taped to a desk next to the monitor so someone in my situation could attempt the 3 bag strategy. I have enough discs to make a Strive bag, a Rive bag, and a Guld bag with no problem so I definitely could do it. I've also considered being able to switch out my short fairway roll disc (the A/R Maverick) for a fairway skip disc (the A/BS Sapphire) when the course selection calls for it, to be able to chase those skip aces regularly.
That's how I did it at first lol. I had a list of ws holes in front of me till I memorized them all. Also devs are tracking and hopefully someday we get little pictures next to each hole number in the lobby for this very reason
Lakeside 5, I’ve been having lots of trouble getting to the island with a 3 headwind and GWS Guld, what attribute do you use to get there in the big headwind?
@@AaronChristensen_discgolfstuff that’s what Ive started doing as well, however I have seen a few people still make it up there into stiff headwinds(3-4), so I was seeing if you had an “Aaron Line” to get up there in the headwind
I'm curious why the PD is the disc you choose to sacrifice if you need water skip. Do you find that you use it the least out of all your drivers? I would have thought the explorer or glide turn rive might get less usage. Great video as always!
It pains me not to have it in the bag but it's just so close to the saphire that it's the first to come out since there's things the saphire can do that the pd just can't quite accomplish. And the pd sure as heck ain't doing what my tg does for me. And rely on the explorer a ton for a lot of ace lines
I am curious why the Van Halen themed A/R Maverick doesnt have a spot in any of your bags. I think its such a good disc. I have gotten more aces with that disc than any other it seems. Whats your opinion of it and why are you wrong? 😋
First off why would you bag a non accurate fairway Disc? 2nd off because I have a midrange that goes just as far as it(warship) so no sense in it taking up one of my fairways spots
@@AaronChristensen_discgolfstuff I misspoke when I wrote EG/R. I edited it once I caught it but I guess you responded faster. It actually is an accurate disc. Are you comparing the A/R Maverick to the A/G Warship? Yes they both go about 300' once they stop but the Maverick flies about 20' farther in the air. Which is a big deal IMO. I realize were just talking strategy and there's no wrong answers here and I am honestly just trying to maximize my bag to play as good as I can. The Warship is landing at about 260' and the Maverick is landing at about 280'. In a situation where the basket is 270' what disc are you using? You're going with your Explorer, correct? The A/R Explorer is almost the same disc as the Maverick, its just a little more understable. To be fair, I think that's the disc it should be compared to.
My ocd wants you to sort the Rives into the same slot for different bags :)
I like to match colors top and bottom as best I can but I knew that would bother someone lol

Honestly in that big headwind it is tough. I'll usually lay up and gain a stroke on those that go for it

3 headwind l to right is very doable. 3 r to l headwind... very difficult, maybe only possible with guld
