MV Do It Now: Great Bridge Dock, Lock, and Bridge

- Join me as I depart the Great Bridge free dock, go through the Great Bridge drawbridge, and lock up in the Great Bridge Lock -- all as part of my Great Loop cruise. It's a rainy day and there's a lot of slow maneuvering in the first mile of my day's journey.

Definitely caught my attention to see you doing a video in the place I grew up! I have to have crossed that bridge a few hundred times, though my parent's house was over toward the Mt. Pleasant area so not as often as the rotating drawbridge further up the canal.
It's a really nice area. I really liked the park by the free dock just south of the bridge. Great place to walk my pups.

Biggest challenge is probably docking with a strong current or wind when there's no one on the dock to catch my lines.
Are you planning on soloing on the Loop?
