Rob and Amber! This song has a great vibe, the guitar is awesome, so glad you liked it! For kind of a similar sound from another underated group you haven't hit yet, please check out The Smithereens "A Girl Like You", I GUARANTEE you both will love it!

Ok..I subscribed just because you reviewed this song.. it is a great classic rock song isn't it??
I love the brooding guitars and the keyboards and the bands vocals/choruses are always great.. I think Donnie Iris didn't get as popular as he should have been ... I was born in 1972 so I grew up on this.
It's actually pretty funny that TO THIS DAY, many classic rock stations on FM radio play this frequently and surprisingly so many people KNOW the song but can't tell you who sings it.
Donnie is a total 1950s geek. He has the Buddy Holly look down

Donnie starts starts off strong and NEVER LETS GO!! Right to the last note, he's giving his all! 🎵🎵 I first heard this song at a rock club when a cover band played it in the early 80s. I found out who the artist was and became a Donnie Iris fan! I played this song so much, my dorm mates wanted to kill me! Thanks for getting to this fabulous artist! ❤❤

Donnie Iris is a true classic. He is still playing live! As with all of us, he is getting older, but he still sounds incredible. I'd recommend anyone who likes this song to also check out some of his live videos. He can still hit the notes.

Something crazy is Donnie is 80 YEARS OLD and can STILL hit those notes and still looks young. Insane! You should listen to "That's The Way Love Oughta Be" by him! Another awesome song by him that also includes him going off and hitting some notes like that at the end.
