Highly highly recommend this drama. It isn't a brainless idol drama (I am up to Ep17) . The characters are all really multi dimensional and the acting is great from all the leads and side characters.
In novel it is actually a little grey and more real, the drama change a little bit to make the ML more likeable. Like after the exchange between Li Xun and FL to confirm whether she want the other guy to fail, he went to flirt with the other girl to obtain the coding/program of the guy... That's explain where and how he get the code/program of that guy and why the other girl has misunderstanding that Li Xun is confessing to her hence lead to the kiss out of no where for the next ep. Edit: But yeah, this is really a good drama just some little change of it has it good side and some side effect on little plot hole.
@@TheExtraterrestrial99 haha that makes sense. The kiss in the trailer for the next episode did look very weird. I have seen on Weibo a few comparisons about LiXun in the TV shows vs the novel and it seems like he was a bit of a player/womaniser in the novel. So understandably they had to change that aspect of his character to pass the censors 🤣
@@ginnylin It is not pass censor, it is to be more appealing for female audiences. To success in China, your show need to attract female audiences, they are the core and more active viewers.. Womanizer won't do any good to that.
@@TheExtraterrestrial99 true. But they did seem to have made these scenes in the drama also but edited them out in the Final Cut. In the later episodes Xu Lina reminds him of the ‘because of love’ and Li Xun doesn’t try to clarify that it was for ZY.
