I do like simple. I understand that holding the lift-out solid in place is a task though. That is, trying to get it back into the exact same place every time. I'll be watching and learning for mine too. Cheers, Dan
this , for now is a fast lift out section , if it works and holds up,, then ya i going to say do it .. watching other channels with lift outs , just seems so complicated and ,,,,, well scary. so next video will tell
me too,, i have my fingers crossed.. track will be next,, and that is the thing about my channel, if it works yippee. if it don't then we all know not to build simple.
i was just thinking,, simple is best.. why do people over think a lift out,, and make it seem scary,, mind you this has not worked yet.. next video will tell all
I think you're right Sparky. No one else has ever had to do a lift out. This is Brilliant you should patent it just in case some else ever has to do one. LOL! It's looking good, so the next vid will be having a full run around???! Maybe? Regards, Solomon
Well that different a slide in cool idea mate ,l done couple drop in ones and 1 hinged before ,Sparky one trick l did so l never had to run wires for that section was l had the rail joiners set so l could slide them back on the lift out section of track ,that way l got a good join and still had power for the track ,keep the good work coming cheers Ron.B
hi sparky... i am assuming you still have all your fingers...LOL.. looking good so far... don't forget to install some sort of switches to cut the power before & after the lift out so power will be cut on those track & you don't run a train off the table.. vinny
Sparky! Glad to see you didnt lose any limbs! Let me run the table saw-you hook up the power-lol..I actually try to avoid having lift-outs altogether, but if I had to do it, yes it would be along that line, but less foam-just me.
thumbs up and shared I agree no matter how many tape measures you own always end up with the one you don't like lol the wife is handy if needed good job buddy looks good so far
that would make me nervous too.. add more track, and more track and go around,,, lol ... i try to keep this simple.. see we all will see if it works or not......more than once
SWEETA!!! if you build it they will run.. hahaha... what you did not show us how you burnt the end of the 2x4 ...lol did it kick back or just get stuck? 6:04 ,,, we will be tuning in for part 2 keep up the great work man,,, Tom B.
it got stuck... now you shhhh.. i hope simple is a good build,, and maybe more people not be to scared of a lift out ,, slide out section..... but then again this still has to work , track wise.
L,my,flipping,b,o... it happens to all of us & if any one says diff... they are liars ,,, lol next time u need a small board like that,,, chop saw all the way chop-chop& you are on to the build,,, just like a knife in hot butter .. it will work !!!... I'm sure you being good with electricity you can get it powered up... even if you had to line the ends with copper... lots of love brother,,, stay safe & a hi 5 to mom if you see her...
take it easy big guy your getting ahead of your self now think about others who may be watching this video do not rush into something too hard lol the power tools are big boy tools may be Ron or peter could help make sure you cut twice and measure one I know the tape measure is very heavy, and we know their no way an electrician will not buy on or carry one for sure they will not know how to read one. like most of the time their millwright on job sites they will help you out their awesome video sparky wonder if sparky was grounded when his wife came home see if he there, Wednesday @7 pm maybe his daughter will be filling in for him lol Jennifer white train bug peter still have not caught me let sparky really think he can get the bugs out of it
Now the silly question, Your wife is a woodworker and knows what she is doing, correct? Why not have her build your bride and benchwork...She is the expert. Just saying.
Dave do me a favour and leave the wood working to your wife. I knew it was going all wrong with the measurements and calling the blade a saw. You should stay with what you know. lol
That will work.. simple the better.. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.. Lance
i hope so. i just wanted something simple.
You made that a lot easier than what I would have made... which would have been more of a mess than anything. Looking good.
i think too many people over think a lift out.. but then again i have to lay track and wire it,, so still hoping this works
Sparky so far so good cheers Robert
cross your fingers Robert.. i hope that we can make a full loop after the next video

Great video sparky, the lift out section looks great and tell your mom hi .......
my mom loves seeing comments like this .. so many people standing behind her
Really cool but, how are you going to get electric to the tracks on the bridge?

I will buddy I've made a few lift out bridges/sections 3 so far gonna do a 4th in the future
cheers sir
I am in the process of doing one myself. I like your idea, and your humor. I am curious to how to do the track and wiring.
i went to visit my mom on Saturday so that update i will put up next Friday. I am toying with a couple ideas
Sparky! Glad to see you didnt lose any limbs! Let me run the table saw-you hook up the power-lol..I actually try to avoid having lift-outs altogether, but if I had to do it, yes it would be along that line, but less foam-just me.

I never thought about a slideout , I like the idea! Simple is always best I think no need to complicate things. Good job sparky107107. John
i have been so long without a train running,, i had to go simple.. i think sometimes,, a lift out is over thought.
Looking forward to the wiring video.
Ok waiting for part II. Liked Part I . Looking great.
Nice Work Sparky! Thanks For Sharing! ~Pedro
Well sounds like I would get stuck at the door if I ever visit. My big hind end and a 25” wide way. Just won’t work. Grate job.
you just have to sit on the step and wiggle down.. like i do if the lift out gets stuck in place
Cool. I need to build one. Except I’ll have to cut out a portion of my duck under to do it. Makes me nervous. Lol
that would make me nervous too.. add more track, and more track and go around,,, lol ... i try to keep this simple.. see we all will see if it works or not......more than once
Dave i was going to be telling you to do something along the same lines. Good start.
let the trains begin
I'm still looking or a Boat, I always wanted one, but in Arizona i might not get full use of it.
i would suggest a rubber dingy.. only blow it up when you need it.
SWEETA!!! if you build it they will run.. hahaha... what you did not show us how you burnt the end of the 2x4 ...lol did it kick back or just get stuck? 6:04 ,,, we will be tuning in for part 2 keep up the great work man,,, Tom B.

I am getting ready to do mine soon. Great videos.
Keep It Simple Sparky, I like it man. I'm ready to see a train run across it.-Ed

Oh my God man, get a tripod even if you use a cell phone. Oh you have one, then use the dang thing!!!!!
PLEASE Don't lay any track across your bridge, until I talk to you!
thanks for the chat brother.. if it don't work ,, well it was a simple design
@@sparky107107 So what was the outcome of the chat? Inquiring minds want to know as I'm finalizing my liftout design.
@@MRR_Shadowolf this lift out section worked perfectly.
you don't love you wife very much do you? hehehehhe
