  • History
The game's development began after the success of the 1992 movie 3 Ninjas. The film's popularity inspired a video game adaptation. The game's creators secured licensing rights from TriStar Pictures, the studio behind the movie. The game was developed by a team at Malibu Interactive, a subsidiary of Malibu Comics. Malibu Interactive collaborated with Sega for final approval. Marketing efforts included magazine ads, TV commercials, and tie-ins with the movie. Box art featured the three ninja brothers in action poses. In 1994, 3 Ninjas Kick Back hit store shelves. Reviews varied, with praise for the graphics and nostalgia but criticism for repetitive gameplay.
    Scenario
Fifty years ago, in the mystical land of Shinobi, a legendary samurai named Hattori participated in the annual Grand Ninja Tournament. This tournament was no ordinary martial arts showdown it was a battle for a powerful artifact: the Dragon Dagger. Legend had it that the dagger, when combined with the ancient Samurai Sword, would unlock the entrance to the fabled Cave of Shadows. Within that cave lay unimaginable riches, ancient scrolls, and the ultimate secret of the ninja lineage. Hattori faced fierce opponents other skilled ninjas, cunning assassins, and even mythical creatures. His mastery of the Bojutsu (staff fighting) allowed him to prevail, and he claimed the Dragon Dagger as his prize. But victory came at a cost: his arch-nemesis, the enigmatic Koga, ambushed him after the tournament. Koga, a rogue ninja with dark intentions, stole the dagger and vanished into the shadows.
    How to Play?
As the game begins, you choose one of the three young apprentices Rocky, Colt, or Tum-Tum to embark on a perilous quest. Each brother has a distinct personality and weapon:
    Rocky:
    Weapon: Bo Staff
Rocky is the eldest and the most disciplined. His bo staff allows him to strike from a distance, deflect projectiles, and perform acrobatic maneuvers. His calm demeanor hides a burning determination to retrieve the Dragon Dagger.
    Colt:
    Weapon: Katana
Colt, the middle brother, wields the elegant katana. His swordplay is swift and deadly. He's impulsive, often charging headlong into danger. But beneath his bravado lies loyalty to the ninja code and a desire to prove himself.
    Tum-Tum:
    Weapon: Twin Sai
The youngest, Tum-Tum, fights with twin sai. His style is unorthodox wild spins, flips, and surprise attacks. His love for pizza and mischief sometimes distracts him, but his heart is pure, and he fights for justice.
The game world is divided into zones:
The Forest: Dense foliage conceals hidden paths. Dodge falling branches and fend off rebel ninjas.
The Caves: Dark tunnels echo with dripping water. Watch out for bats and rolling boulders.
The Temple Ruins: Ancient statues guard secrets. Solve puzzles to unlock passages.
Koga's Lair: The final showdown awaits. Koga's ninjas swarm, and traps abound. Defeat them, confront Koga, and reclaim the Dragon Dagger!
Collect power-ups like shurikens and health potions. Each brother's weapon has unique combos. Scrolls unlock special moves: spinning kicks, wall jumps, and stealth attacks. Minor bosses guard each zone. Study their patterns and weaknesses. Koga's lair features traps, disappearing platforms, and deadly spikes.
