I'm convinced budgies (+ prob other birds too) can recognise not just pitch but patterns in pitch changes and somehow can innately recognise "music" which is different to just normal sounds & bg noise (like the telly lol). Such cool creatures they are 😁 it's like they come *out* of their cage just to perform and show off to us humans😊
Hii, if your budgie is tamed then Place he/she on your finger and bounce your finger up and down gentally and make tutting sound at the same time so with every bounce do *bounce "tut" *bounce "tut" *bounce "tut". When he gets used to it everytime you tut he will bounce thats how i taught my budgie.
You don't. They do it on their own and do it even more when they see you doing it. My parakeet Cloudie May will Bob her head up and down when I do it while the music is going and so will my other parakeet Rainee Day... They love music, and just like us humans, they will not resist the temptation to dance. Trust that. 💯 🎉

Actually, my bird Jazzy just does his dance naturally when I play music. He especially likes this song though!
I mean you can put music on and nod your head to the music so your budgie can dance too because they sometimes copy your movements :D

As funny as it looks, but "dancing" is a misconception. This bird isn't dancing, it's trying to mate. That's typical mating ritual behaviour of birds.
