Thanks for the helpful videos. I want to make concrete products (tables, functional/ decorative/ sculpture items) where I add to it my own pre-made acrylic paint colored/ modified/ fortified concrete / mortar based 'tessera' decoration ( that has been textured, stamped/ or cast as lettering/ words, when it helps to have parts pre-made). Is there any way to add such concrete based decoration to wet concrete, AS you build the wet concrete sculpture, etc, (say for example if you are using an acrylic fortified mortar for sculpting, or perhaps by stamping the concrete with this decorative part & then using a sticky acrylic based slurry to add the part?) or must you add such concrete based decoration ONLY by gluing it to the concrete sculpture/ etc only after the structure has cured? (e..g. using 'mosaic' methods in select areas)
To clarify my question- I am concerned about these 2 stages of concrete/ different stages of curing (between the small, colored concrete pre-made, cured decorative pieces, added onto the larger, wet, sculpture piece)...which leaves me to wonder about issues with shrinking, cracking, etc. It adds a lot of extra issues/ steps, if you must add the parts after sculpting, as a separate stage (like mosaic process); so I wonder if that is the only way to go?
I love the way you just deliver the meat and potatoes, straight to the point without 20 min of unnecessary commentary. TY!
This channel should be mandatory learning for anyone starting in construction
Great video and info, yep I just repaired a birdbath and really got into it! Have a good weekend!
Thanks, you too!
Mine is a gargoyle wing. The Gargoyle is about 12in tall. The broken wing is about 4x7 in. The gargoyle is outside so I guess I need the flexible one?
After the concrete adhesive dries, could we put concrete mix over it to hide the adhesive or would it interact and make it weaker?
