I thought the Zoom H8 and the Zoom H4n, both with the XY120 recording, sounded best for the acoustic guitar. My favorite was the H8 at that setting, great clarity, texture, definition, smoothness, and crispness. It sounded like I was there, very PRESENT in sound!
Also, beautiful acoustic playing/song! 🙂👍

I've been using the H4N for years now to record my guitar and singing. I love it, it's so easy to work with and results are predictable. For a device that I bought used for €100, I couldn't ask for more.

Great video thanks!... except I was looking for the H1 comparison with the guitar strumming like with all the others but it suddenly changed to drums. Would've loved it if you kept up the same controlled experiment through to the end.

I am disappointed by the result here of H2n, I thought it will do better with different mic layouts, in person do you feel that it is really that bad even compared to the H1n?
The H4n sounded good but the tom sounded muffled on the drum section.

Just confused how is it that you got only a few subscribers yet be able to have all these great Zoom recorders but in our country we should have our millions of subs first for us to have even only one of your recorders. 120xy vs 90xy, not quite difference
Shotgun make the sound Mono, but more bright
(my monitor: B&W805S, Mcintosh ma7200 )
