Thankyou very much and JazakAllah Qaiser Ahmed Raja sb for this clarification, May Allah preserve you and protect you. You really are a great inspiration for the people in this country who look up to people like you to take a stand for their sacred ideology.
The existence of different morals thesis as an attempt to create moral standards as a competitor to What God has commanded are based on secularism. You have to put your religion on the backfoot is what secularism means, you could find a number of famous people who call themselves secular in every religion while simultaneously claiming to be religious, they pick and choose what their secular counterpart allows.
AS AN INDIAN MUSLIM I THINK OUR UMMAH NEEDS MANY MORE PEOPLE LIKE BROTHER QAISAR RAJA WHO CAN REPRESENT WHOLE MUSLIM UMMAH TO GIVE AND PROVE ISLAMIC POINTS OF VIEW.
😂😂 Baatuo se cheezien prove nhi hooti,ap jis Islam ki baat kr rhay hai wo bus Kitaabuo may hi hosakta hai realty may wo waisa hi hai jaisa (Blood and Sword)
It’s important to recognize that while secularism itself aims to promote fairness and equality, like any system, it can be misused. For example, in some countries, individuals or groups might exploit secular principles for their own ends, just as in Pakistan, where laws such as those related to blood money are sometimes misused. However, the misuse of a system does not invalidate its core principles. Just because some might exploit secularism or any other framework doesn’t mean the framework itself is flawed. Instead, it’s crucial to address and rectify these abuses rather than dismiss the entire concept. Secularism, when properly implemented, serves as a safeguard for equal treatment and freedom for all, and its potential benefits far outweigh the issues that arise from its misuse.
Who is gonna decide what rights are to be given to all of the citizens? Until now, there hasn't been any single secular state that has promoted equality and justice contradicting their claims. And for islamic sharia based state we have the eg.s of riyasate madina and khulafa Rashideen.
@@jacksparow25 You don't have any examples, you have fairy tales from the past that had slavery and child marriage that you glorify, which shows you have no knowledge of how societies evolve on the other end there are multiple current secular nations that out performs any Islamic nation on every level. """There hasn't been a single secular state that promotes equality and justice?""" I guess human right (gays and minorities rights) animal rights are being promoted in Pakistan and Afghanistan and most importantly Pakistan and Afghanistan with their combined power ended slavery. claims change all the time because societies evolve and laws and policies change to fit that evolution to promote justice and equality and minimize inequality, no nation or system is perfect, there are hits and misses everywhere but secularism is miles ahead, in this case 1400 years ahead of Islamic law.

The entire argument was again based on a strawman fallacy and ignorance. (1) When discussing the concept of secularism, we should not focus on how its founders originally defined the term; rather, we should examine how contemporary thinkers and theorists interpret it and what they mean by secularism. Every political theory or idea goes through phases, including a classical understanding a modern understanding and a contemporary understanding. Today secular thinkers and many well-known organizations advocate for a model of secularism defined by Jean Bauberot, which consists of three key components: the separation of religious and state institutions, freedom of thought, and the absence of state discrimination. Your reference to secularism based on its original meaning is an etymological fallacy. Terms should be understood according to their contemporary meaning not by their origins, (2) The example of indirect discrimination is fundamentally flawed. Some religions include practices such as human sacrifice. If a country bans human sacrifice for all citizens the law applies to everyone but it specifically affects the religious community that believes in this practice. This is an example of indirect discrimination because a particular community is disproportionately impacted by the law. However this law is necessary to prevent the harmful effects of human sacrifice. The same principle applies to quallified fundamental human rights. Take freedom of speech for instance it is a quallified fundamental right. A state that restricts speech involving direct threats may limit free speech, but this is justified to protect the state from chaos. In contrast, a state that restricts free speech simply because it opposes the state's agenda or narrative engages in unjustified discrimination. Regarding the ban on the hijab, this represents a misuse of the state's right to restrict freedom of expression. The real question, therefore, is: what kind of discrimination or restriction is justified? As secularists, we advocate for a state that legislates to protect life, property, and freedom of conscience. Any restriction should be justified only if it prevents something that directly or indirectly harms someone's life, property, or freedom. (3) Mr. Raja's criticism of secularism as a social contract theory is a classic example of a strawman argument. Citing examples like Stalin's regime or the Soviet Union is not a valid critique. A fundamental rule of debate is that you must address the examples or sources that your opponent uses to support their argument. No secularist in Pakistan claims that Stalin's regime, the Pahlavi regime, or Soviet Russia represents good models of secular governance. Instead, our preferred models are countries like Finland, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and Poland. We aspire to create a secular state with governance similar to these examples, while also reflecting our own indigenous history. Furthermore there are numerous examples of both Muslim and non-Muslim states where secularism was established through democratic and peaceful means, rather than through dictatorship. Among Muslim-majority countries, examples include Tunisia, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Likewise, there are many non-Muslim states such as New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, the UK, India, Sweden, and Poland where secularism emerged peacefully and democratically. These are the best examples of secular social contracts. I challenge Mr. Raja to provide at least five examples of countries where Islamic law has been established through democratic and peaceful means. Raja cited Turkey as an example, which I would actually consider the best case of a successful secular transition. Under the Ottoman Islamic Caliphate, we saw dozens of brutal massacres, such as the Armenian Genocide that slaughtered over a million people, along with the Hamidian massacres, Greek massacres, Bulgarian massacres, Assyrian massacre, the list goes on. The Ottoman Caliphate has a long history soaked in the blood of countless innocents. Now, let's look at Turkey under the secular rule. How many massacres have happened in the last 100 years? The worst criticism you might muster is that he imposed some restrictions on religious practices, like calling the Azan in Turkish instead of Arabic. But let's be real-a few restrictions on religious practices are infinitely better than a caliphate stained by the blood of millions. So, if Turkey is your example, thank you for proving our point. A secular state, even with its flaws, is a million times better than a regime defined by endless brutality. (5) Dr Taimur is mistaken here. Islam does not truly provide freedom of religion, given that it prescribes execution for apostates which is the very opposite of religious freedom. Imagine if a Christian state were to establish a law stating that anyone converting from Christianity to Islam or any other religion would be executed. Would Muslims find that acceptable? Would that be considered justice? So why, then, are the apostasy laws of Islam somehow justified? Why is it deemed acceptable to execute someone simply for choosing to leave Islam? The double standards are glaringly obvious. Freedom of religion isn't freedom if it's only allowed when it suits you. (6) You're lying again. Hitler wasn't an atheist-he explicitly referred to himself as a German Christian. The Thule Society, which is loosely connected to the Nazi Party, has roots in religious beliefs. Heinrich Himmler, a leading figure in the Nazi Party, one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany, and a principal architect of the Holocaust, stated, "We believe in God Almighty who stands above us." The idea of Nazi socialism is a complete myth, thoroughly debunked in numerous articles by scholars such as Michael Ray, Ronald Granieri, and Ishay Landa. So, let's stop with the baseless claims and stick to the facts. Secularism is just a good theory, you say? Oh, no, my dear sir, it's far more than that-it's a reality that millions of Muslims embrace each year. They flee from places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Iraq, and head straight for secular countries. Why? Sure, they go for better economic opportunities, but let’s not kid ourselves-they also move there to engage in dawah and spread their faith. Now, ask yourself: would an Islamic state tolerate such actions? Absolutely not! It would only allow the preaching of its own narrow sect. Muslims migrate for safety, for the freedom to choose, and for the rights that these secular lands guarantee. And let’s not forget Mr.Raja, you have ypurself already secured citizenship in the Netherlands. Isn’t that the true beauty of secularism? Even its harshest critics end up bowing before its constitutions, whether they like it or not.

@@omarkhan3256 No brother you wrong and your assessment is completely against historical facts ! When residence of a state revolt against any system and impose their own laws, then the demand for popular will is nonsense because those peoples were arose from residence of that locality who implemented that system. Further more as Muslim, I swear to god that I am always in favor of implementing popular will, and I have no problem with referendum but this is western world who refused to give right of referendum when it comes about "Islamic Shariat". In Pakistan we have democracy, was it result of referendum?? Absolutely not. In 1980s in a referendum 98% peoples voted for implementing Islamic Shariat in Pakistan, but still we have democracy.
Why the Idea of "Secularism Equals Wealth" and Eternal Progressivism is Flawed 1. Historical Context: Wealth precedes secularism: Many societies became wealthy before fully adopting secularism (e.g., early European empires, Ottoman Empire, China). Wealth accumulation often stemmed from exploitation, colonization, or natural resources. Religious societies prospered: Historically, deeply religious societies have also achieved significant wealth and cultural prosperity (e.g., the Islamic Golden Age, medieval Catholic Europe). 2. Wealth is More Complex: Multiple factors drive wealth: Economic prosperity is driven by innovation, trade, natural resources, and geopolitical stability, not just secularism. Cultural values: Societies with strong work ethics, community values, and education (whether religious or secular) have historically done well economically. 3. Secularism Does Not Guarantee Equality: Income inequality: Highly secular societies often face severe income disparities (e.g., the U.S.), demonstrating that secularism alone doesn't equal fair wealth distribution. Moral flexibility: In secular frameworks, economic systems may exploit individuals without moral constraints, leading to wealth concentration rather than universal prosperity. 4. Progressivism and Its Limits: Cultural exhaustion: The push for "eternal progress" can lead to social fatigue, where constant cultural shifts destabilize traditions, causing resistance. Reactionary movements: Rapid progression often triggers backlash (e.g., rise of nationalism, religious revivals), proving that societal change isn't linear or eternal. Moral relativism: Progressivism often lacks a fixed moral foundation, creating cultural confusion where different groups define 'progress' differently, leading to conflict. 5. Secularism Fosters Materialism: Loss of purpose: Secular societies may focus heavily on material wealth and consumerism, neglecting spiritual or communal well-being, leading to societal dissatisfaction despite wealth. Mental health crisis: Secular societies often face rising mental health issues due to individualism, loneliness, and the pressure to constantly progress. 6. Wealth Doesn't Mean Happiness or Stability: Wealth ≠ happiness: High-income nations like the U.S. and Japan struggle with depression, isolation, and social unrest despite their secular, wealthy societies. Economic downturns: Economic growth in secular societies is not eternal (e.g., 2008 financial crisis, slowdowns in Europe), highlighting that wealth accumulation isn't a guaranteed outcome of secularism. 7. Religious Values and Sustainability: Community cohesion: Religiously guided societies often have stronger community bonds, fostering resilience and support in challenging times. Ethical constraints on exploitation: Many religious frameworks advocate for ethical limits on wealth accumulation and resource use, which can lead to more sustainable development compared to secular materialism. 8. Secularism Doesn’t Ensure Political Stability: Rise of authoritarianism: Secular nations are not immune to authoritarian regimes (e.g., Soviet Union, China), proving that secularism can coexist with oppressive systems. Secularism under threat: Many secular nations face internal division, where different ideological groups clash (e.g., U.S. political polarization), undermining the idea of perpetual progress. 9. Religious Nationalism Rising: Global resurgence: Across the world, religious nationalism is rising (India, Turkey, Israel), challenging the dominance of secularism as the model for societal wealth and stability. Cultural identity: As secularism erodes traditions, many societies turn back to religion or nationalism to preserve cultural identity, rejecting the idea of eternal progress. 10. Progress Isn't Linear or Guaranteed: Civilizational cycles: History shows that civilizations rise and fall. The idea of eternal progress is a modern illusion, ignoring the cyclical nature of history (e.g., Rome, Byzantium). Technological disruptions: Advances like AI, automation, or climate change may destabilize secular societies, showing that progress can stall or reverse. Conclusion: The assumption that secularism inherently leads to wealth and eternal progress is a flawed oversimplification. Economic prosperity, political stability, and cultural cohesion depend on a far more complex web of factors, including geography, historical circumstances, governance, and moral frameworks. Both secular and religious societies have achieved wealth and stability, but neither model guarantees eternal progress.
I was introduced to syed muzamil or dr taimur by you, since then I agree to their views more than yours. Because they make more logic to me actually. And as far as secular countries' social issues are concerned they are conscious about them & better know how to solve them. But, the fact is there sociopolitical, socioeconomic conditions are way more better than us. Whereas, in the case of Pakistan, I would say we are now reaping the gruesome consequences of what our leaders sowed before independence; in the form of 'Two Nation Theory' which was failed in 1971. We should accept that as a nation we can't progress with this 'religious nationalist' mindset which merely focus on excluding other communities from taking part in national affairs & persecuting minorities or women. You might say that Islam doesn't teach us to percecute minorities or women go & read the literature. But, let me tell you what has been paracticed since the creation of 'Two Nation Theory' it only oppressed or subjugated other communities. The way religion has been used to persecute peoples in the past that was pathatic. That's why we Pakistani need secular system to curb this political oppression, persecution & subjugation of others.

Great answers to Taimor sb....

@@jacksparow25 bro just destroyed his entire argument. good job!
@@jacksparow25 You don't have any examples, you have fairy tales from the past that had slavery and child marriage that you glorify, which shows you have no knowledge of how societies evolve on the other end there are multiple current secular nations that out performs any Islamic nation on every level.
"""There hasn't been a single secular state that promotes equality and justice?"""
I guess human right (gays and minorities rights) animal rights are being promoted in Pakistan and Afghanistan and most importantly Pakistan and Afghanistan with their combined power ended slavery.
claims change all the time because societies evolve and laws and policies change to fit that evolution to promote justice and equality and minimize inequality, no nation or system is perfect, there are hits and misses everywhere but secularism is miles ahead, in this case 1400 years ahead of Islamic law.

Terms should be understood according to their contemporary meaning not by their origins,
(2) The example of indirect discrimination is fundamentally flawed.
Heinrich Himmler, a leading figure in the Nazi Party, one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany, and a principal architect of the Holocaust, stated, "We believe in God Almighty who stands above us."
The idea of Nazi socialism is a complete myth, thoroughly debunked in numerous articles by scholars such as Michael Ray, Ronald Granieri, and Ishay Landa.
Are u in paksitan ?

You are right Sir, secularism can be a very ideal and standardize ideology but when it comes to imposition against popular will it become worst of all. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes only Islam should be imposed against personal will. Because we know what is right for you.

Great Qasir Ahmad Raja sahib. Pakistan 🇵🇰 proud of you.
Why the Idea of "Secularism Equals Wealth" and Eternal Progressivism is Flawed
1. Historical Context:
Wealth precedes secularism: Many societies became wealthy before fully adopting secularism (e.g., early European empires, Ottoman Empire, China). Wealth accumulation often stemmed from exploitation, colonization, or natural resources.
Religious societies prospered: Historically, deeply religious societies have also achieved significant wealth and cultural prosperity (e.g., the Islamic Golden Age, medieval Catholic Europe).
2. Wealth is More Complex:
Multiple factors drive wealth: Economic prosperity is driven by innovation, trade, natural resources, and geopolitical stability, not just secularism.
Cultural values: Societies with strong work ethics, community values, and education (whether religious or secular) have historically done well economically.
3. Secularism Does Not Guarantee Equality:
Income inequality: Highly secular societies often face severe income disparities (e.g., the U.S.), demonstrating that secularism alone doesn't equal fair wealth distribution.
Moral flexibility: In secular frameworks, economic systems may exploit individuals without moral constraints, leading to wealth concentration rather than universal prosperity.
4. Progressivism and Its Limits:
Cultural exhaustion: The push for "eternal progress" can lead to social fatigue, where constant cultural shifts destabilize traditions, causing resistance.
Reactionary movements: Rapid progression often triggers backlash (e.g., rise of nationalism, religious revivals), proving that societal change isn't linear or eternal.
Moral relativism: Progressivism often lacks a fixed moral foundation, creating cultural confusion where different groups define 'progress' differently, leading to conflict.
5. Secularism Fosters Materialism:
Loss of purpose: Secular societies may focus heavily on material wealth and consumerism, neglecting spiritual or communal well-being, leading to societal dissatisfaction despite wealth.
Mental health crisis: Secular societies often face rising mental health issues due to individualism, loneliness, and the pressure to constantly progress.
6. Wealth Doesn't Mean Happiness or Stability:
Wealth ≠ happiness: High-income nations like the U.S. and Japan struggle with depression, isolation, and social unrest despite their secular, wealthy societies.
Economic downturns: Economic growth in secular societies is not eternal (e.g., 2008 financial crisis, slowdowns in Europe), highlighting that wealth accumulation isn't a guaranteed outcome of secularism.
7. Religious Values and Sustainability:
Community cohesion: Religiously guided societies often have stronger community bonds, fostering resilience and support in challenging times.
Ethical constraints on exploitation: Many religious frameworks advocate for ethical limits on wealth accumulation and resource use, which can lead to more sustainable development compared to secular materialism.
8. Secularism Doesn’t Ensure Political Stability:
Rise of authoritarianism: Secular nations are not immune to authoritarian regimes (e.g., Soviet Union, China), proving that secularism can coexist with oppressive systems.
Secularism under threat: Many secular nations face internal division, where different ideological groups clash (e.g., U.S. political polarization), undermining the idea of perpetual progress.
9. Religious Nationalism Rising:
Global resurgence: Across the world, religious nationalism is rising (India, Turkey, Israel), challenging the dominance of secularism as the model for societal wealth and stability.
Cultural identity: As secularism erodes traditions, many societies turn back to religion or nationalism to preserve cultural identity, rejecting the idea of eternal progress.
10. Progress Isn't Linear or Guaranteed:
Civilizational cycles: History shows that civilizations rise and fall. The idea of eternal progress is a modern illusion, ignoring the cyclical nature of history (e.g., Rome, Byzantium).
Technological disruptions: Advances like AI, automation, or climate change may destabilize secular societies, showing that progress can stall or reverse.
Conclusion:
The assumption that secularism inherently leads to wealth and eternal progress is a flawed oversimplification. Economic prosperity, political stability, and cultural cohesion depend on a far more complex web of factors, including geography, historical circumstances, governance, and moral frameworks. Both secular and religious societies have achieved wealth and stability, but neither model guarantees eternal progress.
Amzing, Loved it, thank you.
