My mother is from gokarna but then moved to Mumbai and since I was young I hardly visited Gokarna. When I grew up to be a teenager I found myself getting pulled like a magnet to this beautiful, spiritual place. And just in last 7 years I see such a crazy change in gokarna especially negative change with respect to alcohol and rave parties, drugs and locals all building resorts and rooms for rent. I must say that I feel that the integrity of this place is no more intact. Even a lot of brahmins who understand the Vedas and this Maya of life- are now pulled in this muck of making money only. There is so much energy in the temples of gokarna especially the Neeralla Temple, Smashan Kali temple and Mahaganapati Mahableshwarsla temples....you feel the vibrations when you enter these temples. I wonder with all the changes that is happening, the fight for money and ruse for only the sensual desires where will Gokarna stand even in the next five years time. I pray to the ishwara to revive the aura and magic of gokarna back...❤️
