Thank you so much for this mono-printing tutorial. I looks like such fun and I can’t wait to try it, but could you show a final piece after it’s been fired, love to see that!
Hey Jayne, I have been thoroughly enjoying your videos. The way you present and show us all these techniques is so relaxed and fun. I just can’t wait to try these out Cheers
Thrilled to have found your videos . Love them ..... Thank you ........ Love your vivaciousness and spontaneity ......... so refreshing !!! Plus your teaching process ..... Look forward to seeing next ( and more ) videos x
Hi. I know this is from some time ago, but I just love it. I'm going to your youtube page to see if you have uploaded any new videos...have a great day - and, thank you again.
Hi Jane, I , love your vids. Do you have a webpage that you sell those great rolling drape mole . They look amazing to use. Do you send to NewZealand or can I get them here? If so are they called a drape mould. Thanks from Lyn
Oh wow, I haven’t even made my first pot yet, but, I’m so enthusiastic and this looks fab to play with. 👍❤️ Questions, is it possible to use ordinary clay pastels, I’ve two boxes at home? 😊
Hi Jane. Am very new to all things clay and love your videos, so inspiring. Am very interested in this technique and especially having a go at the crayons. Am assuming the white crayon would be made from white clay? 🤔 All the way from Dorset!
Pastel sticks are just dried out slip squidged into sausage shapes, the other slip is when it is just matt, so not all shiny and liquid, tacky and matt.
Hey that was amazing .....do you fire all this as bisque fire before applying the glaze for final fire or do you fire all at once from greenware. Thanks I think I will invest in the slips you sell they are lovely
Hi there. After watching your videos I am infused with inspiration and want to just start making! What if the slip dries completely? Also can you use underglazes instead?
Brilliant video, thank you. I’m going to need to get one of those mold’s of you. Did you fire it before you put on the glaze or just wait for it to dry?
Você é ótima , sinto não entender tudo , por ser inglês sem tradução , como é o nome do giz que você usa? E o que passa na placa de argila em estado de couro? E esmalte ?
Please remind people that when using dry clay (your grated slip crayons) you should always wear a mask! You are showing techniques to people who may be inexperienced and not understand the dangers of silicosis. Thanks! 🙂
I like the decorated slab! How fun to select parts of it for dishes or ornaments! And maybe do sgraffito like Monique Nu Kua does. Awesome, thanks!
Darn… I wanted to see how it looked after you fired it. Well, it is lovely for the amount you showed us anyhow.
Thank you so much for this mono-printing tutorial. I looks like such fun and I can’t wait to try it, but could you show a final piece after it’s been fired, love to see that!
I'm just now watching this. Thanks, I learned some new tricks! Fun!
Love this! Reminds me of Mitch Lyons' technique. Definitely going to try it. Thanks.
Great! Try it, its so simple. Happy potting!

You are a hoot!
I can't wait to try this technique with my elementary school art students. They will love this method of mark making.
Thanks so much for this - what fun, like Gelipad printing, but onto clay!!!

I have wanted to try this for so long. I will keep the clay and make something with it instead of using it to make prints.
This was so interesting. I’m new at pottery and you have given me such a great education on decorating my hand built pieces. Thanks so much!!

Hello Lyn, yes you can buy them from my website - just look in the pottery shop section and yes I can ship to New Zealand no problem 👍🏼
Doskonale!😊
How do you make colored slip
So creative really eager to see the result after firing ❤️❤️❤️
I do have a question.... is it harmful to perhaps inhale some of that hardened "Pastel slip crayons" as they are roughed up against the sieve?
Yes, it’s clay dust so you dont want to be blowing it around or sucking it in. Better to use a mask.
❤
Oh wow, I haven’t even made my first pot yet, but, I’m so enthusiastic and this looks fab to play with. 👍❤️ Questions, is it possible to use ordinary clay pastels, I’ve two boxes at home? 😊
Very cool. Could you do the same thing with underglaze?
Yes you can, absolutely - just make sure you put it on nice and thick as its not as opaque as slip 👍🏼
Hi Jane. Am very new to all things clay and love your videos, so inspiring. Am very interested in this technique and especially having a go at the crayons. Am assuming the white crayon would be made from white clay? 🤔 All the way from Dorset!
Yes just use dry white clay for the white 😁
Really like the effects you got. How did you create the pastel sticks? How wet is the slip on both the clay and the news print? Cheers
Pastel sticks are just dried out slip squidged into sausage shapes, the other slip is when it is just matt, so not all shiny and liquid, tacky and matt.
Very frustrating not to see the finished product.
Hey that was amazing .....do you fire all this as bisque fire before applying the glaze for final fire or do you fire all at once from greenware. Thanks I think I will invest in the slips you sell they are lovely
I raw glaze mostly - only do bisque firings if its too fragile to raw glaze. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏼❤️
Hi there. After watching your videos I am infused with inspiration and want to just start making! What if the slip dries completely? Also can you use underglazes instead?
If your slip or underglaze dries up completely just mix a bit of water in and reconstitute it - it will be absolutely fine - no waste! 😁
Brilliant video, thank you. I’m going to need to get one of those mold’s of you. Did you fire it before you put on the glaze or just wait for it to dry?
Thank you, I raw glaze as much as possible 👍🏼
Você é muito bondosa por ensinar
Black clay
Wondering if you add anything to your slip to turn it into a true “slip” or is it just a “slurry”?
Don’t add anything its just clay and water 👍🏼
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Muito muito lindo 🙏
The white stuff is a regular paint?
No its liquid clay.
Can I use these pastels to draw on bisque? Or do I need to add wax?
Mmmm good question… Im actually not sure, but you know what Im going to say…. Test, test test! 👍🏼
Você é ótima , sinto não entender tudo , por ser inglês sem tradução , como é o nome do giz que você usa? E o que passa na placa de argila em estado de couro? E esmalte ?
Hi what type of paint you use to paint the paper?
Its coloured slip
Hi jean, I loved your videos. I have a question… do you add something like CMC to slips to retarding dry.? Thanks
I dont add anything to my slips - i want them to dry quickly 😁
Si cela était en français ou sous-titré !!!😂
Querida! Consegue autorizar TH-cam , para tradução em português ( Brasil)
Where do you get the wood press mold?
You can buy them on my website 😃
How wet is the clay when you do this?
I would say just tacky, not stiff and leather hard but in between floppy and leather hard! 😁
What is slip?
Slip is just liquid clay 👍🏼
Veri nice good job please tell me sister in Hindi translate
Is slip the same as underglaze
Nope. Slip is just liquid clay and underglaze has some glassy ingredients combined with it so it can be applied to bisque ware. 👍🏼
@@JaneScottCeramics thank you
