A reminder. That dolmar will really be happy with you with the HD filter kit. The regular one plugs pretty quickly and I think is too small for a saw that size imo. Then it's way easier to clean as well and gobs more air flow for the space ship super star!!! Get some!!!

Buckin, if that is Oregon chain that is common for them to be not very precise. After using the Oregon chain for a few years and seeing the inconsistency in the length of the cutting tooth, how soft the chain is and different heights of the rakers I switched over to STIHL chain. The stihl chain is so much better and extremely consistent. Oregon might have been good a decade or two ago but now it is soft as taffy and won't hold an edge to save its life.

the dolmar was quite the hot rod, the husky394 cuts like a lazer, i used to use one every day with a 36...>> the magic? to me was that pro mac 1000 made me smile, my heart beat harder, and my mouth drool with its perfectly matched bar you have there and its Legendary "big Mac" off idle buckpower the thing practically cuts on idle for cryin out loud you don barely even have to lay on the trigger for long hahahaha WOW i feel for that 1000 like you did for the 797 haha (and the 4-30 is my favorite) Keep Buckin Billy Ray!!!

my dad had an old 1962 McCulloch 1-43 (80cc's) that i had used for years on the farm, in the '60's and '70's. i often wondered where that saw ended up? that thing was a beast, and would mow through the hardwood, (Elm, Maple, Ash, Oak, Ironwood) easily. very torque-e lol. i wish i had it back after seeing and hearing some of your old saws. cheers.
Where can I get an air filter Assy. for a 10 10? I bought the saw for 2$ at a garage sale and got it running easily but need air protection before any serious cutting. I wouldn’t even mind an aftermarket air filter mod if there is such an animal.

Really enjoyed seeing the old dawgs eat! I have a Dolmar 7900 took it to local saw shop for a new bar a year or so ago. They ran it down because it's no longer being made but one old timer said for me to pay them no mind they were just jealous and that it was a grown man's saw. I've got a Pro MAC 1000 also. The old mac sounds like a pissed off bumblebee and in my opinion the 10-10 line was the best line McCulloch ever made
I agree. I have 8 or 10 of them. ( lost count :). I'm impressed every time I use one. I think they all have their own personality.
A local saw shop is going out of business, never fueled 10-10- sitting on the shelf. I put in my number hopefully they will call me back.
If you liked the 10-10s you would love a pro mac 700 same weight as 10-10 but 70.5 cc and 14,000 rpm

Really enjoyed seeing the old dawgs eat! I have a Dolmar 7900 took it to local saw shop for a new bar a year or so ago. They ran it down because it's no longer being made but one old timer said for me to pay them no mind they were just jealous and that it was a grown man's saw. I've got a Pro MAC 1000 also.
