Hey Chris, enjoyed the video! I was still at work when you guys were live. Since you were talking about interview experiences, I wanted to just speak about my experience back in 2017 at SWA. I have friends who I flew with at my former airline who now fly for them, As you mentioned in this video the application process is lengthy for most airlines. I applied to SWA In September of 2016. After several months of background checks and 2 phone interviews, in February of 2017 I got a call inviting me to a personal interview in Dallas at their headquarters. I interviewed in March 2017 and it was one of the most stressful and intense airline interviews I have ever had. I remember feeling so shocked because this was SWA so I thought it would be laid back. Two weeks after I returned home I got a rejection email. I felt pretty disappointed because if you make it to the face to face in Dallas you know you are in the finals. And I'm someone with extensive airline experience both inflight and ground positions. Sorry for the long post!
@@carols.3019 I had a panel of 3 interviewers, and they kept trying to trip me up into saying something negative about my previous employers or co-workers. And it wasn't just with one question, they persisted in that theme with a barrage of questions. And I remember feeling totally shocked that this was the experience, interviewing with the SWA LUV culture. Just a very negative experience.
@@Amtran727 Thanks. I had read a similar post on Glassdoor from another former FA that had the same experience with them. That is sad. As an older person myself looking to get into the industry, I will keep this in mind.
I appreciate you sharing this ! yes the interview process is long and stressful indeed and I wouldn't expect them to make it stressful either so Im shocked because like you I view them as a very laid back airline

Hey Chris, l have been following your videos as l go through the interview process and it’s been helpful. I have a question regards to what “ You are in compliance stage” mean?? It’s been two weeks after my f2f interview and haven’t heard anything from the recruiter, should l be worried??

Did they treat you bad at the interview or what was the deal?

My BR was postponed today in Long Beach, bummed but safety is important of course!
