I stand firm with Cowboy Bebop not needing a sequel but a prequel of young Spike and young Jet would be amazing. Watching the fracture in the relationship between Spike and Vicious would also be amazing.

Episode 5 is my all time favorite in Cowboy Bebop, its the episode that starts the true intrigue and gives you not only a great fight but visions into Spike's past. My sister actually started me on this show by showign me episode 5 because apparently it's an unofficial recommended order. Start with Episode 5, then 1 forward. The entire anime is timeless for the directors choices in Cinematography, music, direction and more and is still hailed to be one of the greatest anime of all time.
Did you ever watch the full end credits? It told part of the story with scenes of Spike, Vicious and Julia when they were younger and in the gang. The ending music is great, too.
Yes it is. The person playing Spike in the Live Action one is Harold from Harold and Kumar. Production is on hiatus though because he got badly injured on the set.
