LOL what a great way of telling us how wonderful church bell tolling every day, can be........... But now that you're not by them, do you miss them, even a little bit....???
That property just shows how clever usage of space and source of light can transform and enhance a property for todays and many more years of enjoyment! Thank you, this informs how we can look at the potential of so many of the properties we see on TH-cam!
I love it! I lived, backpacked Europe for seven months in '98, of which five weeks were in Italy. More than two weeks in Firenza and surroundings! I even met my grandmother's cousins in Lucca, where my great grandparents come from in the 1880's! I have eleven years to retirement and hope I can get residency through ancestry! Ciao bella ❤
This may seem a foolish question, but I don't see any street lights. Are there any? How does one navigate the more remote areas (ie. away from restaurants, etc.) at night?
what a absolutely beautiful place!!! I do think i'd rather have the 2nd level contain the kitchen/dining area/living room, and have the first level as a bedroom suite. I feel that the kitchen is lonely. I love the lower level: what a wonderful study/library/office that would be!!! And the top floor owner's suite is indeed SWEET!!! how long does it take to get to a major airport? or train line?
You mention the Chianti but then you say this is Rapolano Terme and is not Chianti zone, but the so called " Crete senesi" . Chianti is all hills, while this one is in flat land. Chianti is north of the city of Siena, Rapolano to the south, at least 50/60 km away from Chianti.
How often do those really loud church bells go off?? Are they always that loud? Do they ring 24 hrs day/night? Is that typical for the people on the street to he talking so loud? Might be a bit too noisy for most people who aren't used to it.
Thought the same thing beautiful place till I heard that racket! One would definitely want look into how often they rang them and if it was daily. It would drive me bonkers
In small European villages bells play an important role in informing the villagers. Some locations have automatic systems that ring the bell or bells on the hour, some places use the bells to call the people to evening vesper services and to Sunday Mass in Italy. They are rung in a joyful manner after a wedding or a very slow toll announcing the death and or funeral of a villager. In some areas they even have a way of ringing the bells when there is an emergency where people need to be made aware of an urgent issue. Pretty common in European villages where Catholicism is the primary religion. Even in some Greek villages in Greece use the bells in similar ways as in Italy.
As nice as this place is, the layout is unmanageable and the price is way over its value. Those bells will kill any deal they can make unless the buyer is already totally deaf.
Very nice house thank you 👍🏻
Its a beautiful house.
Stove, water softener, sky light. 😄
Lovely. A bathroom in the basement would be good.
What a lovely little property. It’s perfect.
Loved it until the bells! They made me laugh, though.
Good , spectacular!!
This brought back memories of living in a small village in France, directly across from the church. The bells were charming for the first few days. 😊

The fireplaces are charming, too, until we recognize the firewood must be hauled up to them.🤭 I love that bath tub!
Lovely home ❤
So beautiful! Thank you😊

How I love and miss those bells
It’s stunning 🤩 I love it !
Lovely restoration.
Where do you eat?
Very nice, and decently priced!,!
What an amazing place. If it had a second bedroom (besides the basement), it would be spectacular. As it is, it's still great for the right buyer.

Very nice home!!
Those bells would drive me bonkers !!

😂
It's a different culture. Americans don't understand because we have no culture.
So you're the tourist who visited
the Michelangelo David at the Accademia Museum in Florence
and asked the security guard,
"is that an original?"
