I have so many memories of FF2/4. My friend and I spent hours goofing with the "multiplayer" mode, sitting in the garage until the early morning hours messing around and trying to finish the game. Beautiful!

A ***lot*** of IX and XI references both! So much we've seen so far seems to heavily show off stuff from Seekers of Adoulin!
its amazing how much better the modern music sounds. That said, What they did music wise on both the NES and SNES with only the limited number of midi voices will never not be an achievement.
FFIV was my first ever FF, back when it was FFII on the SNES. So this whole patch series was a huge nostalgia trip.

I noticed every expansion is at least 1 or 2 other ff games focusing in XIV. ARR was about I and III, SB was about V and VI, SHB was about VIII and XII, EW was about IV. DT is going to be about IX and XI. Idk about HWS.
You didn't mention that Another Moon is a remix of the FF4 moon theme, nor did you mention all of the music references in the Golbez fight music. Regardless, learned a lot here!
As a FFIV enjoyer, I ate so good this expansion
Personally I think that's Krile transition to pictomancer can be a reference to Dissidia Opera Omnia where FFV's Krile had paired attack with Relm

Can I just poke fun at you a lil that you mispronounced all the four lords' names even though they were said properly in XIV? 😅
Some other bits you missed: In The Fell Court of Troia, the final area that leads to Scarmiglione is based on the Walk of Echoes from FF XI's Wings of the Goddess expac.
Also, not only is Forged in Crimson based on Hyadain's Four Lords song, it was Hyadain himself that did the arrangement in game!! :D I remember when I first heard it I was like "wait... wait wait wait wait what!?"
