This has got to be the best Martin & Lewis show episode I've ever seen! And like another commenter said, this is when the two supposedly hated each other, yet they kept it together so well - what a testament to both their professionalism.

      They never hated each other…

@@chesster5981 Exactly. At 35:28 you can see Dean's amusement at Jerry. They absolutely DID NOT hate each other. They argued sure but I honestly believe when Jerry "grew up" that's when they started having trouble. If you watch them you see so many sweet private moments between them. It broke both of them when they split up. They were never the same. These two really were made for each other. Nobody understood Jerry like Dean did.

@@kellycaviness4850 absolutely there is more to the story. Jerry absolutely loved Dean Martin in such a profound way. When he brought out the cake for Dean’s 72 Birthday Dean hugs him kisses him Jerry says in such a sincere way, I love you Dean. It was almost whispered. You can see it on line.

The chemistry of these two is fantastic! SNL is nothing compared to this show

Great show these two loved each other and it’s very clear here. I doubt they ever hated each other at all. They were seen on numerous occasions together after the split. They kept their relationship private. The split may have been something we will never know about. Fantastic show. Nothing like Martin & Lewis Today

Superb opening skit. Beat that & only Robin Williams could match it.

That's the way to do & deal with adverts, no skipping them as they're so funny. Just one step up from the snake oil tricksters.

But how is it possible to accept that these two hated each other at this point? I will NEVER believe it

Because they were professionals and acting was their job.

They never ever hated each other. I’m sure they had differences and argued probably. But hate? No way, just watch them, you cannot hide what they felt, no matter how professional. It’s not possible. That private moment between them at 25:51. Look at their smiles. That’s not hate

They never did. They were seen together in night clubs going out etc. If you wanted to get fired from the Lewis organization all you had to do was say something negative about Dean. Jerry worshipped Dean idolized him.
They had a beautiful friendship and remained friends till the end.
There friendship and love is behind the greatness of this team.
